Holiday rentals with lake access in Albemarle Sound

We could not have enjoyed our stay any more than we did. The house was well stocked and clean. Pool and hot tub were clean and well maintained as well. The neighborhood is quiet and within a short distance to many local attractions and restaurants. Would definitely stay here again if we find ourselves back in the area. Thank you!!

What an incredible slice of heaven at Ginny's Place! Spent a few days with my family to get away and reconnect and couldn't ask for a better place! The view of the river is incredible, I spent every morning there with a cup of coffee before anyone got up and soaked in the peace and calm the Chowan River had to offer. The house is beautifully decorated and felt very warm and inviting. My kids had a wonderful time fishing off the dock and my son had his first experience with the provided kayak and that made for beautiful pictures and memories. One thing I should of looked up was the proximity of a Tesla charging station, 45 mins to the closest charger was at least manageable. There is a country store, hardware store and a deli all within 10 minutes and had most of the items we needed. Food Lion is 15 minutes away and so is downtown Edenton. We had dinner at the Herringbone and it was amazing! Their sweet tea and local fish was absolutely delicious. Book this place, you will not regret it

This place was perfect for my families little get away. private away from neighbors. had great property grounds for the kids and dog to play. the surrounding nature was awesome to wake up to. Lorraine was really proactive at getting me ready for the stay and replied to any questions quickly. we arrived earlier than the check in time and had no issues. long story short it's a great place with an awesome host. highly recommend! she even opened the pool to us ahead of time!

This was our second time staying at Joyful Dolphins and it’s a great fit for our active family of four. The bikes were a hit and the host was helpful and responsive when we had a couple of questions. We love the easy access to the trail along the sound. The beds were comfortable and we appreciated and the additional blankets since the evenings were cool. Thank you for a great spring break trip!

We had a relaxing stay in a peaceful, country setting. The home has a cozy, private feel, and we really enjoyed the beautiful weather and quiet time by the water. Fishing was a fun bonus, and the views made for a really calming backdrop. The house had what we needed for a comfortable week stay, and the host was kind and responsive in communications. It’s definitely a place for unplugging and slowing down, and we appreciated the chance to recharge in a quieter corner of the state.

We loved our stay at Karen’s place. The apartment is very comfortable, and the views are spectacular. I wish we had more time to enjoy the offerings. We hope to come back again!

Really enjoyed the condo it was a perfect base camp for a variety of activities in the OBX. There was a well stocked kitchen which was great as we did a lot of home meals. The condo was nicely decorated, and the beds were super comfy! James was easy to contact and communicated back quickly if asked a question. Was a great stay.

We loved No Ordinary Sunrise! Thomas was a great host, and we would definitely return to this beautiful home again. It was spotless and the location is great for anyone looking to adventure around the Outer Banks.

House is beautiful and perfect for my husband and I plus our granddaughter stayed with us one night. Full kitchen, plenty of bathroom towels, comfortable beds, sweet touches to make all complete. Would love to stay again!

Maria’s cozy little house was very comfortable, and we especially enjoyed the backyard and her beautiful paintings. The beach is nearby, though it’s best to drive due to a busy intersection. The Wright Brothers’ Museum is just a short drive away, and Maria was incredibly helpful in recommending places to visit.

My wife and I stayed with our two kids and my parents (and their dog) and had a great time! The house is cozy but comfortable for 6, with a good amount of living space including a very nice sunroom. Amy was friendly and helpful in our communications and proactive at checking how things were going, and helped ensure we had a nice stay the whole time. Staying on the sound was beautiful, especially the sunsets. The house is right on a great multiuse path which is perfect for walking or biking to the nearby coffee shop or for exercise. Grocery stores and restaurants are close too, as are destinations like Jockey's Ridge and the Wright Brothers memorial. Two little things that made me happy were walking past the Muscadine vine in the front yard, and the color of the mailbox: a light blue which made it unique and easy to find when driving down an unfamiliar street. If your group is the right size for it, Safe and Sound is a great place to stay, and Amy is an excellent host!

We enjoyed our stay and found the home well equipped. The turtles are fun to watch. This is a very unique home and a short walk to the beach. We would stay there again!

This cottage was perfect for our family's spring break trip. It was peaceful, quiet, and a quick walk to the beach! The cottage itself was wonderful--clean, decorated wonderfully, and surprisingly spacious!

Amazing home and visit. The town of Edenton is the perfect weekend trip.

From beginning to end this cottage is off the charts. Cute, unique, functiinal, confortable, well organized, thoroughly supplied and the location is private and beautiful.

We totally understand and agree with Tanya being listed as a Super Host with 5+Stars! From making the reservation until checkout, Tanya made certain that we had absolutely everything we could possibly need for our stay, from extra toiletries, beach towels, sunscreen and even a sewing kit! She is responsive to messages, provides tips and suggestions on trips, places to visit and local restaurants! The house is pristine yet feels like home! We will definitely be making many more trips and this will be our “ home away from home!”
