This 200-year-old Appenzell house towers high above Herisau AR and is lovingly called "GöttiFritz" by its owners. It shines authentically in a fantastic mountain and hill scenery – a true retreat for the soul.

Holiday cottage located on the sunny slope with beautiful views. After a short but somewhat steep walk to the bungalow, you can enjoy the view of the Alpstein with our local mountain, the Säntis, on a cozy terrace. There are many walking and hiking opportunities directly from the house. Please note: From the parking lot, you can walk relatively steeply up the hill to the beautifully located bungalow on the edge of the forest for about 100 m.

Cozy room overlooking the countryside Our guest room on a private floor offers a lot of privacy and tranquility. It has a 140cm bed and a nice seating area overlooking the countryside. The private entrance and free parking provide additional comfort. The private toilet with shower is a little older but clean and functional. Guests can use the bbq in the garden. A little outside the village center is our house where we as hosts are at home on the upper floor. In a few minutes' walk along the canal you will find yourself in a beautiful and idyllic landscape with a nature reserve. From this accommodation you can also reach many places in the shortest possible time as the highway is only 5 minutes away. The border with neighboring Austria can also be reached in minutes.

The Mountains are Calling Retreat

Come and enjoy the fresh Swiss mountain air. Our well equipped, self contained apartment is a great place to spend some time away in either Summer or Winter. Our place is just a 2 minute drive to Oberterzen to catch the cable car up to Flumserberg for a great day of skiing, mountain biking or hiking. We are also only a 3 minute drive to Unterterzen to spend a beautiful summers day at the Walensee.
