Casa da Encosta is located in the picturesque Aldeia do Penedo, on the hills of Sintra facing the Atlantic. The nearby beaches (Adraga, Praia Grande, Praia das Maçãs and others) are just 5 km away. This two bedroom house (plus a mezzanine) dates from the 1930’s and was passionately renovated in 2023 by Katrin Kaasa and Duarte Amaral Netto, your hosts. The house maintains the spirit of a cabin (low ceiling in the kitchen and some doors) but was carefully designed for comfort and stylish details.

This tiny sized home is made of a 20 feet shipping container. It has a living room area in the entrance with a sofa that flips into a 120 cm day bed. The bathroom is complete with a shower. The bedroom in the end is equipped with a 140cm x 190cm bed.
