This newly built 2 BR/2BA chalet home can be your base for hiking & exploring Acadia or simply relaxing among the pines. Bar Harbor is 20 minutes away, Long Pond (1.3 miles) and Echo Lake (2.6 miles) are within a few minutes. Southwest Harbor is located on the "Quietside" of Acadia. It is a quaint town with a local feel & there are many good dining options nearby.

Tiny House at Wooded Bliss Homestead

On the edge of our family homestead overlooking meadow & forest, this tiny house offers a quiet, cozy refuge only 40 minutes from Acadia National Park. There's a twin daybed on the ground floor & a double futon in the loft. Full kitchen & tiny bathroom with shower too. A heat pump keeps the place toasty warm or nice and cool. The tiny house and meadow are very private on the edge of the property, and just for you. Our family's gazebo, fire pit, hammock, trail & garden are shared with guests.

Little Suite in the Woods

Escape to the quiet woods of Mount Desert Island in a modern retreat within easy driving distance of Acadia National Park. The house is located on the quiet side of the island, 1/2 mile off of Rt. 198. As you depart 198 a gravel road takes you through dense forest, leaving behind the street noise and summer rush. When you arrive you are surrounded by woods with not another house in sight. If you are looking to be in town, this is not it. We are driving distance to the hotspots.

We are on the Blackwoods/Bar Harbor bus route so you can catch the free Island Explorer LL Bean buses to Bar Harbor and back.

Whether you enjoy sipping coffee on the deck, sitting by the ocean, or exploring the tide pools by the shore, there are many areas to enjoy. Our cabin is nestled in the woods bordering the Eagle Lake Road in Acadia and is less than 5 miles to downtown Bar Harbor. The hillside wooded setting has westerly sun exposure, perfect to relax and unwind after a day in the park. Enjoy dinner in the large kitchen or drive into town where you have a vast selection of fabulous restaurants and entertainment. Though you cannot see the road during high traffic times you may hear it.
