This is a rare opportunity to stay in a traditional Miller's House located on the same property as an authentic 1632 Dutch Windmill. This beautiful cabin offers privacy, nature and canals on both sides, yet is only 1.5 miles (2.4km) from town and a 40 minute train ride to Amsterdam. This cabin was hand built with love & care and it is a pleasure to share it with guests from all around the world. As the Miller of this windmill, I enjoy giving my guests a complimentary tour whenever possible.

Our beautiful houseboat is only 12 min from Amsterdam centre by train & 5 min from the famous Zaanse Schans windmills! Use our motor boat to visit the local mills in the nature area, relax in the large sunny garden or on our spacious terrace boat! It's the ideal location to enjoy a relaxed holiday and also be close to all the famous attractions! A rowing boat and bikes are available so you can enjoy all the attractions in the area near the houseboat! We're looking forward to meeting you!

Mansion Zaandam near Zaanse Schans and Amsterdam

A lovely mansion with a lovely spacious garden 3 minutes away from the train station, 10 minutes from Amsterdam and the Zaanse Schans. You sometimes imagine yourself in the countryside because even though you are in the middle of the center of Zaandam, the birds wake you up in the morning and because of the non-existent street it is wonderfully quiet. A few minutes away you are on the Dam of Zaandam and with the Zaanse Schans and Amsterdam around the corner, you can go all the way.

Enjoy luxury and comfort on the ground floor of a detached villa by the water. You have a spacious living room with 83" OLED TV, high-end kitchen, an office/bedroom, luxury bathroom with walk-in rain shower and toilet, and a spacious front and back garden with veranda and outdoor kitchen by the water. The upper floor is not accessible. Located in a quiet neighborhood, 35 minutes from Amsterdam and 15 minutes cycling from the beach.

COTTAGE NEAR THE WATER

You will find the cottage on a little island called De Woude. It is a true paradise for birdwatchers, hikers and fishermen but if you want visit Alkmaar, Zaanse schans, Amsterdam ore you want to go to the beach you will be there in ca. 35 minutes by car. With a ferry you get to the island. The ferry goes back and forth all day until 23:00. Cars are allowed. their is a private parking place near the cottage.

Whether you want to enjoy the historic buildings and canals, the famous cheese market or just relax in one of the many cozy cafes and restaurants, you have come to the right place. The Popelhuisje is fully furnished and equipped with all the modern amenities you need, including Wi-Fi, a fully equipped kitchen and comfortable beds.
