My Cute Little House

Set in the heart of Verteuil a petite citie de caractere in the Charente we welcome you to Ma jolie petite maison, a one double bedroomed gite that sleeps 4. The building is over 200 years old and has been completely refurbished in 2024. With exposed stone walls and original fireplaces, lit by vintage French chandeliers and tasteful wall lights, the gite is both cosy and comfortable. During your stay you will have exclusive use of the heated swimming pool and a large Moroccan style barn.

This idyllic French stone house can sleep up to five people. It has two bedrooms, a large living room with a woodburner, a fitted kitchen with a large dining table and two shower rooms, one on each floor. The rear bedroom has a balcony that overlooks the garden with a ruined abbey and the Charentaise countryside beyond. Outside there's a summer kitchen, a small terrace and a lawned garden. The village has a delightful cake shop, a popular restaurant, artisanal stores and a museum.

Large communal area with billiard/pool table, a cosy seating/meeting area with log burner for cooler evenings. Note the pool is open from May 15th until September 30th. Access to Angouleme 45 minutes, Cognac 1 hour, Future-Scope 1.25hrs, Valley de Singe 45 minutes, Poitiers airport 1 hour.

Charentaise family farmhouse

Welcome to our family home, an old village farmhouse typical of the Charente, renovated (partially) by us. Located in Paizay-Naudouin, a few km from Ruffec, it is a friendly and warm house. It offers a peaceful setting, without vis-à-vis, perfect for relaxing for families or groups of friends. Renovated with respect for its authentic character, the heathered decor gives it a slightly raw charm. The house is 200 m² and can accommodate up to 8 people

Gîte des Ruches Peaceful & Homely with pool

Situated on the outskirts of a quiet hamlet in Chives, this charming cottage with its stone walls, exposed beams and original fireplace has recently been fully restored. An ideal space for 2/4 people which includes kitchen, living and dining area, patio, garden furniture and BBQ. Guests can enjoy relaxing around the swimming pool, picnicking in the orchard or walking the surrounding countryside. A totally tranquil place to enjoy your stay.

Our cottage La Marceline, furnished in 2020, is located in a detached house facing south, open to a beautiful wooded area, in the heart of a small village. The living area of 60 m2 for 2 people consists of a very bright kitchen-living area, a bedroom with an ensuite bathroom. In front of the house, a courtyard is available as well as a parking lot. For your short or longer stays, vacation or professional, you will find peace and comfort here!

Very good location on the Poitiers(50min), Angouleme(35min), Niort(1h),and Limoges(1h15). 3 minutes from all shops. 2 minutes ( by car ) from a pond with a snack in summer as well as a supervised swim. Also 2 minutes away is a restaurant (closed on Mondays) as well as a bakery and 2 grocery stores. Our home located in the countryside will bring you peace and quiet and a change of scenery.
