The cottage is located on 20 acres of mostly wooded terrain off Highway 17 near Wolfsville, Maryland, less than an hour and a half from D.C. The hosts live on the property up the hill in an 18090’s chink log cabin. Although you can see our house, the cottage feels very private and is a quiet comfortable retreat in the hills. The cottage faces the woods and the private drive down to the creek. There is almost zero light pollution at night so stargazing is incredible from the balcony.

If you're looking for a "farm" experience, you will love my place. There's animals year round for feeding and petting, a private pond and a firepit built into the patio with wood provided. The farm is near Cunningham Falls State Park which has hiking trails for all ages and a man made lake with a beach. The entrance to the Appalachian Trail is at end of the road and Antietam National Battlefield is a short drive away.

This is a second story apartment above a garage. It is completely private. Hosts live in a separate house on the premises. Apartment is located in Thurmont, a small town in rural western Maryland, about 15 miles north of Frederick. We are close to Ski Liberty and about 10 miles south of Mount Saint Mary's University. Thurmont is easy driving distance to Gettysburg PA, Washington DC, Baltimore MD, Harpers Ferry WV, Charles Town WV, and Leesburg VA. Nice get-away place.
