Holiday rentals with a fire pit in Charleston

Excellent place to stay to explore Wayne National Forest! Beautiful scenery and quiet. The house had absolutely everything you need for an extended stay. Gina was also an excellent host! We experienced some vehicle issues over the weekend and the only day that we could resolve them was on Monday (our last day there). She was very understanding and accommodating to our situation. I look forward to staying again!

We spent the weekend at Nathan's place and it was absolutely wonderful. Nice and secluded but also close to the New River Gorge. Would highly recommend!

This home was perfect for our family’s overnight stay. We felt right at home as soon as we pulled in the driveway. The home is well laid out, well stocked with all sorts of extras that are always so handy to have staying in an Airbnb. Home was very clean, comfortable, the beds were nice!! Fenced yard was awesome for our dogs they absolutely loved it!! So did we knowing they were safe! Summersville is a cute place and I wish we had another night to spend there. Would definitely recommend and also would come back to Jessica’s!!

First impressions: clean and well kept. Thanksgiving with family worked out well thanks to the tidy house with plenty of kitchen stuff to make our meals. Central heat kept us warm and the working fireplace was great to hang out around. We didn't go out and about due to snow. There is only one bathroom but we made it work for us.

This place was exactly as it was described. Great place for the family to hang out and be together. planning on coming back. Thanks to Arvin for making this wonderful place available to our family.

Convenient to the Hatfield-McCoy trail network, and not too far from Gilbert and Delbarton. Cute house stocked with everything you could need, and some nice touches like free snacks and coffee. The owners live in a separate house on the premises but are very friendly and attentive to guests needs. My family would definitely stay here again.

Perfect place for my family (2 adults and 4 kids 12 and under) to use as a home base for our visit to New River Gorge. Definitely had plenty of room to spare for additional guests if necessary.

Was a quaint old home, peaceful with a beautiful view. We had family over for a birthday party and took advantage of the fire pit and grill. Joyce even helped us out when we were in need of a large cooking pot to do our seafood boil. Joyce was very friendly and available when needed.

We really enjoyed our stay at Amy’s place! The apartment was very cute and homey with all amenities you could need. The location was great for exploring some of the parts of New River Gorge National Park off the beaten path, and it was beautiful and peaceful being right on the river. The trains passing by were a bit loud during the night and the water did have a sulphur smell, however, those things are listed in the description of the apartment, so it did not impact my rating since we came in knowing what to expect. Amy was also a very responsive and friendly host!

Gloria's place was just what we needed. We were just the right distance from the Monastery that we like to visit. Gloria was very sweet and cared for us, even putting down salt on the steps on the really cold mornings. We were able to disconnect from our busy life as a family and just relax. We highly recommend a visit if you want to relax and unwind in Wayne.

Dave created an environment that makes guests feel immediately comfortable and at ease. Dave the Super Host was very knowledgeable about the location, amenities, and services, and able to provide helpful recommendations. Dave and his son was very Positive and Professional.

I stayed at Sarah’s place for just over 2 months for work - I absolutely loved the space! It’s super cozy and definitely doesn’t feel like you’re over someone’s garage. It felt like I had a homey space to come back to. Additionally, Sarah was incredibly friendly and has the sweetest dog! Definitely recommend staying here if you’re in Charleston :)

The stay was overall very good and we would recommend this property. The location was beautiful and secluded. The caretaker was warm and welcoming. Instructions on how to access the property were prompt and detailed. The garage apartment smelled very good and was exceptionally clean. It is set up more like a studio. The entryway is where the first bed is located with laundry and bathroom. The second bed is located in the main studio area. The laundry was very helpful with detergent available. If you have pets, please kennel them as there are pet deterrents behind the couch that could be dangerous. Overall it is a 5/5 rating and we have shared the listing with family for when they stay in the area.

Very peaceful place to stay. Walkable to a very clean and well-stocked Dollar General. Amazing to have a clean and well-appointed place to stay when visiting my family in Delbarton. We sat on a veranda adjacent to the rental and enjoyed the babbling creek and many birds. This is the prettiest location and a FANTASTIC place. Well worth the money!!!

Had a very nice stay,Host and spouse took us for a Tour of local tails on arrival,that was very helpfull rest of the visitThe only disappointment is that HMT are not close to rental.

Myrna was a pleasure to work with. The apartment was just as described and was very clean and comfortable. I will definitely stay here again. Great place! Great host! What more could you ask for?

Very relaxing

We loved our stay!! It was peaceful, relaxing, and just what we needed. I suggest this place to anyone. I will say it is like glamping, the bathroom is an outhouse and not attached to the house, but it's right beside it. The bath house is walking distance and is at the end of the hill with the party barn and hot tub. We love everything about it. Overall, we loved our stay and we will be staying again!!! The host are very friendly and quick to respond to all needs. Book this place!!!

Staying at Tom's cabin was a wonderful retreat. Tom was very accommodating, we had a long roadtrip and knew we'd be arriving very late. Tom made sure to leave a light on and messaged us clear instructions on how to enter. Wonderful stay, hope to be back again!

We had a wonderful time. This cabin was peaceful and secluded. It was well worth the money and is in driving distance of many different things to do.

We stayed in Cabin 3 for Bridge Day weekend. The cabin was neat and clean, freshly painted outside and very clean floors and bathroom. The fire pit area behind our cabin was very peaceful with beautiful mature woods surrounding. This place is very pet friendly and has many acres of woods with trails you can walk you fur baby, which we did many times! The general store at the entrance has a nice selection of household goods, food, and firewood. It was cool at night, about 40 degrees, and the cabin space heater worked and kept us toasty warm. Each cabin has its own water heater for plenty of hot showering after a long hike. The only suggestion I have is if you need extra back support, maybe bring your own mattress topper or a thick sleeping bag to add to the double bed for cushion. We really enjoyed this location as it was only a 2-3 minute drive into the charming town of Fayetteville. Best eats and cocktails we found at Secret Sandwich Society!

I stayed with my 11 year old son and we had a great few days! The cabin is small, but it was comfortable and had everything we needed. Having the deck and hot tub was great! We arrived late but Brenda was helpful in explaining how we would check in and get access, and everything was pretty easy. The GPS was confusing at times, but google maps eventually got us there to the resort welcome center. We knew this going in so had printed some directions, it was just tricky in the dark. Was great to be able to drive to many of the hiking trails and other excursions within 10-15 min. Overall, was a great stay and would stay here again!
