Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Colón Island

We had an awesome stay in Bocas! Steve was so incredibly attentive, responsive and helpful. The home was very comfortable and we enjoyed the living spaces, made dinners in, and enjoyed the beautiful wrap around deck. It is such a cool home on a unique island. We would definitely recommend it and all loved our time there!

Jennis's place was just as described in the middle of the jungle, very private, close to nature and as shown in the photos. The cabin is super equipped and you have everything you need. There are so many different animals to watch. The cabin is for real nature lovers and gives you a real jungle feeling from the humidity to the wonderful noise and the authentic rainwater outdoor shower. Jenni is a great hostess, always super accessible and makes every effort to make sure you have a nice stay. We definitely recommend the place for everyone who wants a few days of absolute peace and nature :)

We stayed at Helena's place for 5 nights in April. It rained a lot, so we got to spend more time at the house than expected. Besides the weather, every aspect of our experience which Helena could influence was great! Even before our arrival, Helena provided a ton of useful information, recommendations and tips. She was able to accommodate our adjusted arrival time, which we were greatly thankful for. She also communicated with us frequently, and addressed a minor issue we had with the help of a wonderful neighbor who came to the rescue in a flash. The jungle house is what it is: a jungle house. Bedrooms are very comfortable, wifi is good, AC is cold. The rest of the place is what you'd expect from a jungle outdoor space: insects (thought surprisingly, no mosquitos) and smelly outdoor pillows due to humidity, which we didn't mind much. Outdoor and open bathroom was a new experience, but it worked. The beaches are close by but the water was pretty rough. Restaurant next door is great!

Alli and Sergio’s place is amazing and they are exceptional hosts! This was the best and most unique Airbnb experience ever. Alli is incredibly helpful and warm, and gave us recommendations that made our trip very special. Casa Buchu is like your own private resort in the rainforest…so beautiful and peaceful! The breakfast treats Alli and Sergio provided, including banana bread, marmalade, and butter that were all homemade, were so delicious and appreciated. Everything was perfect and we were very sad to leave their little paradise.

Jack and Vanessa were super responsive, friendly and helpful with anything we needed. The property is so beautiful! half on the beach and half in mid jungle, and really private and quiet. The house is nice, and my husband really enjoyed the little home gym:)

Tropical Suites is the perfect place to stay in Bocas! Between the pool and restaurant overlooking the gorgeous water, a swim up bar that makes delicious cocktails and smoothies, the large and comfortable bedrooms, the friendly and hospitable staff, and the ideal location in Bocas Del Toro, it is hard to beat Tropical Suites. I would definitely stay here again and I highly recommend it to future travelers!

Lucas was helpful with instructions and travel trips pror to my arrival. He and Gloria were very friendly and welcoming my entire stay. The apartment was just as described and provided everything I needed. It was great to see, hear and experience the wildlife and Lucas sharing his knowledge of the animals. It was a wonderful a relaxing 5 days. I look forward to visiting again!

Julieta’s place is a bit higher than the rest of Old Bank village, so it’s very quiet and peaceful. She has a big garden surrounded by big trees and bamboos specifically her jackfruit trees attracted many birds which we could observe every day from our room! The trail to Wizards’ beach is right at the corner where we saw a couple of sloths! She is very friendly person who cares about us all through our stay by messages, despite she was off the island. Highly recommended!

5 amazing days Alex was very responsive, very present, considerate. The place is superb, between land and sea, splendid view, the cottage is so amazing, a real little cocoon, the little kitty 🐈‍⬛ comes by every day, hugs kisses. We love it The large bathroom, 2 large bedrooms with A/C, very large living space, well-equipped kitchen. It has everything. Close to restaurants ( ciao pizza I recommend ) Taxi just down to take you to town in 10 minutes, $3 per person to town, taxis are also great. To conclude, Alex's Airbnb is really awesome! Ps: beware of guiboles we go up slightly, it's on a small hill but you will take your eyes full!

Beautiful little apartment super central. All the amnesties are available, especially a lot of cooking tools. Host super helpful and friendly ❤️ We felt extremely comfortable, definitely recommended for Bocas del Toro stay

My experience in this stay was excellent. The place is as shown in the photos: clean, comfortable and ideally located. The host was very attentive, always willing to help and provide local recommendations. I felt at home from the start. I would definitely recommend and would come and stay here again on future visits. Top cottage, nicely decorated and in a good location. Within walking distance are beautiful beaches + good bars. You can also easily take a taxi to the town.

Great spot, central to many great bars and restaurants. Loud nightclub nearby that could be heard until 3am and many loud guests in the hallway with lots of doors slamming. They did provide several pairs of ear plugs that made all that totally tolerable.

Danielle's place is perfect, very clean, comfortable, is completely quiet during the night, the internet is fast.. it has everything you need for a nice stay. But the most important aspect is the location. It's basically in Colon's central area, you have the supermarket about 2 blocks, restaurants of all kind, the airport is just 3 blocks distance. This is the most perfect location, we will definitely return.

The place was as expected or better, the location is fantastic because it's in the center area but still not too close to the noisy places, being on the 3rd floor helped. I'd go back to Dea's place, no question about it. There are cheaper and more expensive options around but I think this is a very good sweet spot, everything was clean, we felt safe and comfortable at all times! We had no trouble with the stairs but keep in mind that if you go with someone who has difficulty walking, going up to the 3rd floor where the condo is will be a challenge, we were totally ok with that and as long as you have no mobility impediments, the place is easy to get to. There was a minimal confusion about the locking mechanism at the front door, the bottom locker was loose and we thought it would be a problem but Dea was very responsive and explained how to use the top locker, which was totally fine and eased all our worries. I would recommend it and come back as well.

Bill was a gracious host and knew the island like the back of his hand. I would 1000% recommend his place to anyone looking to come to Bocas. He’s is extremely helpful and accommodating. Thanks!
