Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Contrada Difesa II

Very clean and modern accommodation with a sensational view over the beautiful Calabrian surroundings. Daniela and Pietro are charming hosts and easy to reach for any questions. Upon arrival, a delicious apple pie and a good wine were already waiting for us, and honey, jam, cereals and fresh eggs from the chicken coop were waiting for our first breakfast. The fruit that grows around the house is delicious and definitely worth trying. The peace and quiet in the mountains is priceless, and it's wonderful to read a book in the shade of the olive trees. Badolato is just a quick drive away, or you can treat yourself to a walk through the beautiful vegetation and steep terraces. The crystal-clear pool water will give you the necessary kick of freshness during warm days. We love that place and extended our stay because we already felt home after seconds. Thank you for your hospitality!

Everything is great

Thanks to Franco for her warm welcome! He picked us up by car from the airport which was extremely convenient. The house is very quiet with 2 terrases and a garden and looks like the photos. Franco is very responsive and has good advice! He brightened up our stay. Just be careful if no car as there are practically no sidewalks and cars go fast.

Probably the best Airbnb we have stayed in, perfectly clean, great host and fantastic roof terrace. Absolutely every thought has gone into ensuring you have the best stay. thank you and your mother for a lovely welcome.

Paradise place, 1980s/1990 what a lovely place to be! Hot outside shower, BBQ works well and every day with your feet in the sand for breakfast and or lunch. Rightly a super host, thank you Rino 😎

I spent close to 2 weeks recently at Laura’s place and I must say I found the home to be pleasantly immaculate in every way. The pictures she posted of the homes interior were just the way I found it upon my arrival. Everything was operational, modern, up to date, sanitary, convenient with the use of electronic keys, gate openers and WiFi; the place was obviously well kept. Although not absolutely necessary, a car is very helpful to get about for shopping and enjoying the nearby beaches as it is very pleasantly secluded and quiet. I hope everyone doesn’t rush out too often and too long to stay at this place, as I will be looking to come back for future visits if the home is available…thank you very much Laura!

The perfect location to be close to Tropea but also have privacy and peace. Luisa was very kind and was always available to answer our questions. The appartment was very clean and had everything we needed, the parking space was also very appreciated. Highly recommend staying here if you want to be in a peaceful space while also being close to the beaches.

Pasquale was really very friendly and accommodating. He answered every question right away and was able to help us with any concerns. Check-in & check-out was straightforward and the proximity of the beach was really the highlight for us. You should know that the accommodation is more suitable for two people and offers a little little space for three (and not enough cutlery, chairs, etc.) but for both of us it was more than sufficient. The water was great, wifi worked great, everything important was nearby (shopping, pharmacy, ..). The only desirable would be air conditioning, as the ceiling fan may not be sufficient for the people who are not accustomed to the climate. We would come back any time and really enjoyed our time in Tropea at Pasquale.

Carmela was helpful and very attentive, a property with a lovely garden. Our studio apartment had a terrace from which you could see the sea. The location of her apartment is truly strategic, allowing you to move around easily and reach both the beautiful city of Tropea and the various beaches around.

The stay at Alberto and Gabriella's exceeded expectations. In addition to the absolutely strategic location for visiting the surroundings and the property rich in details and tastefully furnished, the added value is the hosting, the attention they reserve. We were lucky enough to have dinner at the property on the day of our arrival and what can I say? Dinner was really a treat, too. The two-room apartment solution proved to be a winner for our needs! A round of applause for the daily cleaning of the apartment, a very welcome service! When we return to the area, we won't be able to help but stop here again.

The apartment corresponds exactly to Alessandro's descriptions, it is in a quiet area just outside the city. There is no sidewalk for about 500 meters for those who want to walk but a 2-minute drive away there is a large free parking lot at the supermarket so you can leave your car and continue on foot to the historic center. Alessandro is always courteous and helpful. I hope to go back.

Giuseppe was an excellent host. We reserved place at last minute because our previous reservation was horrible. Giuseppe was gracious and accommodating. Apartment was in a quiet place. Clean and comfortable. We would recommend this to anyone!!

Everything was beautiful starting with Elisa's kindness and friendliness. The location is really beautiful and the sea leaves you speechless. I think we'll be back soon.

Beautiful place - very well located - nice hosts !

Nice quiet accommodation, well-equipped, good bedding. 15 min walk to the city. Starting point for boat trips to Stromboli. Basic equipment provided (towels, coffee, tea...) except oil/salt/pepper. Friendly welcome in Italian only. We highly recommend it.

We felt very comfortable in the apartment. It's everything we needed. Everything worked and was clean, including the dishwasher and washing machine. We especially enjoyed the central locations as well as the great terrace. We would stay there again any time.

Franco's apartment was a very good decision. The apartment as described, Franco is a nice and very helpful person. he answered all the questions, recommended places to visit. I sincerely recommend staying with Franco when you are in Kalabri.

The view from the balcony was wonderful! The pictures of this apartment don’t do it justice. The balcony was big enough for two to enjoy coffee or wine. Really felt like a local but had enough restaurants around. Everything was walkable up and down hill. The apartment was not so big, but very comfortable for two. Can’t say much about how the kitchen worked, because who wants to cook when so much Italian food is at your doorstep? However, we were there the day many things closed down at the beginning of November. Still, we found good places to eat. Would recommend this apartment.

A beautiful, spacious apartment just minutes from Lamezia Terme airport, with a pizzeria right below the apartment. Everything was beautiful, and very well maintained. Our host was warm and accommodating, especially when we had to check in later than anticipated. I would definitely recommend the lodgings. There are a few other restaurants within walking distance, although there is construction on the road (as of April 2025), which limits the walkability a little.

The appartment was exactly as in the pictures. Very clean, at a walkable distance from everything (downtown, beaches, restaruants, supermarket). Very spacious and I had everything I need for my stay at Tropea. The host was very friendly and proactive. I travel a lot with my dog and this was the frist time when I received the number of the local vet. If I return to Tropea, I will definitely choose to stay here.

Had an amazing holiday. Great airbnb with such pretty views. Maurizio was always active on what's app if we ever needed help for parking/recommendations or anything! 10/10
