Holiday rentals with lake access in Danbury

Spent a wonderful week during Christmas here with my adult son whom I hadn’t seen in years. Launa went above and beyond with making the home cozy and comfortable and the Christmas decor was more than I could have imagined. Launa allowed an early check in although I had an emergency which did not allow me to check in early but she offered me the option. Launa also allowed us a late check out which was very much appreciated. The only thing I wished was that the beds were a little less firm as I found them to be too firm but that’s just my preference. Very tranquil place and many memories were made. I would love to stay again perhaps during warmer months to enjoy the lake and outdoors but all in all it’s a beautiful home.

10/10, best rental! The house felt like a hotel - it was immaculately clean with beautiful decor and in an ideal location. They put a lot of thought into it, there were so many little things we weren't expecting from an Airbnb that made this one top notch. We appreciated the fluffy clean towels and toiletries they provided. They had a whole section of baby items stored neatly in the garage and we used the baby monitor to keep an eye on the kiddos during the night. We really enjoyed the kayaks with life jackets in adult and kid sizes. They even thought to provide things like waterproof cell phone cases to take on the kayaks! They also had a small cooler, tons of beach chairs and lawn games. The location of the house is great, there's a little beach around the corner and 1 min drive into a part of town with some nice restaurants. We took a recommendation from the house's Insta-page and went on an easy hike on the boardwalk section of the Appalachian trail! It was a great time!

My family and I really enjoyed Elizabeth property very comfortable and quiet, we definitely thinking about coming back soon.

We loved Nathania's house! The views were beautiful! It was a great house to have local family over for a gathering (which was the purpose of our visit). We had some snow and ice during our stay, but Nathania and her husband were unexpectedly there, and ensured the snow and ice was dealt with the best they could. We definitely hope to rent again!

My wife and I decided last minute to go away for the weekend. Apollo's lake house was the perfect getaway! Lakeside, private, jacuzzi on the deck, nicely decorated and well furnished inside - it was really great. Apollo is very friendly and responsive, truly the most responsive of any Airbnb host in my experience. As a bonus there was a snow storm with about 8 or 9 inches of snow... Perfect place to be snowed in! Good restaurants nearby too. I highly recommend this property, for a weekend or a week - you won't regret it.

Alice is a great host, and her place was absolutely what we were looking for. Beautiful views of the lake, that presented us with an exquisite sunset. The place was cozy, clean, very peaceful, and it met all of our expectations. We look forward to returning during a different time of the year.

Very nice peaceful cottage, quiet area. The kitchen is beautiful and there were a lot of nice touches in the kitchen to have things available for me to cook. Parking was very easy, right in front of the cottage. It was not far from cities like Rhinebeck and other sites we went to see. A nice getaway from the city.

We stayed here for 6 days and it was the perfect spot! She had everything we needed & it was a beautiful place to spend our vacation. Erica was extremely responsive whenever we had questions for her. We would definitely come stay here again!!

This was just what I needed for my first trip to Mohegan Lake! Quiet neighborhood. Cozy bed. Great water pressure. I’ll definitely be booking again if I come back to this cute little town.

My husband and I stayed at the Waterview over Valentine's wknd. Instructions were precise, everything looked like the pics, and even better. Unit was simply but beautifully decorated, clean, spacious and comfortable with stunning views of Lake Zoar. We had a small issue upon arrival but Kristi was super prompt with a resolve and was kind and professional. A Winter storm was in effect and she was flexible with our arrival time and exit for our safety, which meant alot. We slept like babies to the sounds of owls hoo'ing and icy rain hitting the snow covered lake, which even at night was just stunning. I woke up early to watch the snow and ice melt from the lake...it really was a magical thing to behold. I saw deer tracks and was sorry I missed them. Saw mallards and several GORGEOUS hooded merganser, as well as several different species of birds flying over. If you love nature and gorgeous spaces that feel like home, book the Waterview. We hope to revisit in warmer months. Thank u Kristi

Went to locate a go to place for me to reset from life’s nonsense and this was the most healing environment in a peaceful cozy house.

Was the perfect little get away for us. And it was nice to find a place that accommodated the dogs so well. We appreciated being able to get to places easily but at the same time have a peaceful place to return to.

Stayed here with some friends for my birthday and it was wonderful. Ben is very friendly, responsive and made sure to take care of us. The views of the backyard were beautiful and peaceful. We also had lots of privacy. Will definitely be booking again in the future!

A hidden gem! This spot has a ton of character and the hosts are awesome! The lake and surrounding area is beautiful as well, with plenty to do for the outdoorsy type and cute shops and great restaurants within minutes. would highly recommend and hope to find time for a return trip!

We loved the view out to the lake, which was different every day and throughout the day. The open layout of the house is great to enjoy the views, and if the weather is nice, there are great sitting areas outside as well. The house is well-stocked and cozy. The hosts are friendly and always responsive. There are also great parks to visit nearby. We had a great winter weekend and would love to stay again.

Great place to be with beautiful views of a private lake, gorgeous sunrises, cozy cottage and warm, electric fireplace a plus, full kitchen, near my family and friends, and my favorite places to hike and enjoy nature, easy access from route 84, very peaceful and tranquil and great hosts

Such a cozy space!!! My small family really did enjoy our peaceful stay. I would definitely book again when in the area. I felt such peace and serenity sitting under the stars, in front of the crackling campfire. It was me and the hubby with 2 of our girls ages 10 and 16. They loved the hot tub and s’mores:). As everyone else noted, what an AMAZING find! A truly beautiful location that has you saying “wow” from when you first step inside. The place had everything you could ask for and we felt like we were at home. I would certainly come back again and I completely understand why she is booked out through the summer. What a lovely area and easy access to so many towns and attractions.
