OPEN 20 March 2026 Nestled in the mountains of Nara and Yoshino, surrounded by greenery, lies a quiet, traditional Japanese-style inn, where only one group is accommodated per day: B&B Morino Akari.(The name means "Light of the Forest") ⚫︎ During your stay, breakfast and dinner prepared by the owner are included (see photos for reference). ⚫︎ We can also provide meals for pescatarians and vegetarians. The kitchen area is shared with Hotos.The rest of the property is for your exclusive use, and you can enjoy your time as freely as if you were renting the entire building. This spacious area, measuring approximately 230 m², can accommodate up to eight people.Ideal for family or group trips.There is also excellent access to Yoshinoyama, a popular cherry blossom viewing spot, and Kinnosuke-sanji Temple, a World Heritage Site. We have preserved the historic beams and tiled roof while creating a comfortable space for you to enjoy.The tranquillity of the mountains, the gentle light that shines at night.Here, you can enjoy a moment to forget about everyday life. To enjoy the beautiful natural surroundings, we recommend travelling by car. This is a small, renovated, 100-year-old earthen storehouse in a town in Ina Valley, Nagano Prefecture, where you can see the two Alps. The inn is run by a married couple who run a design office. It is a space where we designed it ourselves, created the parts we could with our own hands, and explored the possibilities of renovating the warehouse while cultivating the power to create our own lives. We renovated a 160-year-old traditional house in 2023. The total site is 700 tsubo (2300 m ²), and the building is 170 m ², making it very spacious. While it is an 8-minute drive to Kumamoto Castle, it is a cottage where you can relax and unwind away from the hustle and bustle. The garden is full of trees and flowers, including a large camphor tree that has been there for over 160 years, black pines, Japanese maples, and bamboo forests, so you can enjoy the trees and flowers in all seasons. The host lives in the adjacent building, so you can feel at home. Take a big, deep breath and refresh yourself from the heart. ●Here’s what you need to know · There are many mosquitoes and insects because there is a garden with many trees. If you don't like insects, it may be difficult to enjoy. The facility is located in a very quiet residential area. Please refrain from having loud conversations in the garden or on the deck after 8 pm.
