Great contact: Friendly and proactive. + House with good location and equipment. + Quiet location. + House good for a group of 7-8 people. + Amenities as described. Unfortunately, there was a small - point - in some places, the spiders had been faster with the construction of their nets. Otherwise everything is great. Would recommend again and again. We had a very pleasant weekend in Harm's home. Everything was just as stated in the description. Harm is a friendly host and made sure there was a cot and chair ready for our 18-month-old son. Our son enjoyed the trampoline in the garden. Highly recommended!

It was super uncomplicated and the whole family is very satisfied! We could even grill and drink coffee without having to bring anything ourselves. The rooms were very nice and the beds, like in a hotel. We would definitely return! Thank you Arja!

We had a nice stay. Very pleasantly welcomed….Everything nice and clean and tidy. Lots of private and a nice garden at your disposal. Close to downtown , restaurants and shops The 2nd bedroom, outside to reach, was a bit small compared to the master bedroom.

Stayed here with friends for a week. House was perfect, with plenty of space and a lovely garden with hot tub. Was a great location for exploring the Netherlands. Highly recommended!

We had a wonderful time at Wenja's beautiful beach house. It was so lovingly and chicly furnished, the kitchen fully equipped. The description of the apartment is absolutely true. The kids had a great time swimming in the pool and the sauna afterwards was a treat. In a few minutes, you will be on the beautiful beach with nice beach bar. (It may be worth mentioning that one section is a dog beach. So many friendly dogs are a huge pleasure for our children. ) From the apartment it is only a few minutes by car to the shopping center in the village and many attractions (e.g. Keukenhof, Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Zandvoort, etc.) can be reached in 20-40 minutes. We enjoyed our holiday very much and will definitely come back. Thank you very much for sharing your beautiful house with us, dear Wenja. Highly recommended ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Beautiful apartment, despite the listing saying essentials not included, everything essential we could need was there and it was lovely and clean. Beds were extremely comfy and we all slept so well. The guide inside was very helpful and we found the amazing little bakery that we enjoyed breakfast from each day. Beautiful surroundings and we hired bikes from a local place and went on one of the cycling routes which took us round Edam, the local area. Couldn’t recommend it more and we would love to come back!

We were only there for a weekend but we will definitely go back. The house is even more beautiful than it looks in the pictures and there is everything you need. Also a lot of spices and cooking utensils - everything was just thought of.

Would highly recommend this place, we had a wonderful stay - only problem that it was too short. Well located, easy to find. Ebbie met us at the property with a warm welcome and it felt like she had opened her home to us. The property had everything that you could ask for and more, so we felt like we were getting a real dutch living experience. Edam is so beautiful, the people so friendly. It was so easy to pop in to Amsterdam for the day. A much better experience than staying in Amsterdam itself.

From the moment we arrived, the check-in process was smooth and straightforward—everything was clearly explained and easy to follow. The hosts were incredibly warm and welcoming, making us feel completely at home from the start. The house itself was spotless—super clean and fresh, clearly cared for with love. It looked exactly like the photos and matched the description perfectly, which was such a pleasant surprise. We also really appreciated the helpful instructions and thoughtful local recommendations that made exploring the area so much easier and enjoyable. The rural setting was absolutely beautiful—peaceful, quiet, and surrounded by nature, yet still very walkable. We spent many mornings simply enjoying the serenity of the countryside. This stay was an absolute gem and a fantastic deal for everything we got. We’re very grateful for the experience. Highly recommended! ☺️❤️

It was our first time in Volendam and we felt immediately welcome when arriving at Jessie's and Johan's place. The apartment looked just like in the pictures and was very nicely furnished. One highlight was the screen with projector. We had a great time exploring Volendam and Marken and would definitely come back.

We really enjoyed our stay in Edam it was a beautiful little town with canals and lots of greenery.. very easy to get a bus to and from the city centre of Amsterdam and nice to come back to such a warm cozy space at the end of a day of exploring. We stayed over new years and the fireworks did not disappoint Edam knows how to put on a show! Claudio was extremely helpful and kind he even helped us get back inside when we locked ourselves out one night. Checking in was easy even when I had communication issues on my end. My friends and I highly recommend.

We visited as a family of four with our dog, and the house was a perfect space for our stay. Martijn's house is in a convenient location, Purmerend, in a nice and quiet neighborhood with convenient access to supermarkets and restaurants. The location has easy access to Amsterdam (in 30 minutes by car or public transportation) and to other attractions, like Dutch villages Zaanse Schans and Volendam within 20 minutes by car. There are nice beaches within 30-40 minute drive, and it is also easy to go north or south to explore anywhere in the Netherlands from the house. Martijn is a warm and responsive host. He is very flexible and helpful in providing information. The house is well equipped with almost everything you'd need for a relaxing holiday with family. Overall, we had a really enjoyable stay and would definitely recommend Martijn's house for a summer holiday!
