Fantastic place. We had great stay!

We stayed at Sarah’ Villa for a family break and immediately felt that we'd found a home away from home. Nothing was missing and you find a lot of attention to details, even offering a surfboard. We especially enjoyed the large pool, evenings on the terrace and the breathtaking nature surrounding the villa. Highly recommended for a relaxing holiday.

We were warmly welcomed by Isabel, who speaks French well. The accommodation is atypical and has all the comforts you need. We were able to park easily every time we got back from a walk. It is a few meters from the pedestrian streets for shops and restaurants but also from the waterfront, for the boat that takes you to the islands. Regarding the things we liked less, as mentioned in previous comments, the master bedroom has no shutter, just a transparent and most annoying white blind, is, that the neighbor next to an external motion-detection light that illuminates the room at each trigger for 10 seconds, and sometimes, dozens of times in a row, because this gentleman plays on his phone, in front of this lamp, so with each movement, it turns on... The other point that could be improved would be the maintenance of the pool water line, which is green. We took the time to clean up a bit!

Just back from a great week at Casa 38. The place was even better than the pictures and couldnt have asked for much more. The hosts were also really helpful with lots of great, local recommendations. Will definitely be back.

We enjoyed staying at Jose&Sonia’s apartment very much. It’s located in the centre of an old city, surrounded with coffee shops, restaurants and shopping. The apartament itself is very clean, nicely decorated and fulfills all necessary needs and beyond. Jose responds within minutes to any questions and sends lots of recommendations that every tourist is seeing to visit. He is very friendly and kind. It was a pleasure to be your guest, Jose and Sonia!

Fantastic little flat walking distance from the old town of Lagos. Very clean and friendly host! Lovely to look onto the harbour and be walking distance from such great places. Would easily return. The flat had everything needed and was bigger than the pictures.

Carla sent detailed instructions for check in which made the process seamless. We loved the space and location, close to walk to downtown but quiet and closer to the beautiful beaches. One of the bathrooms is outside on the porch, but that was fine. My friend left an item behind and Carla was very quick to help ship it on to the next destination which was so appreciated. Would definitely recommend Carla as your host!

Maria and Ana were extremely welcoming and responsive. As someone who visited the area for the first time, it was nice to know they were there if I had questions.

We had a wonderful stay in Pedralva. Leslie’s place was perfect for us and just a lovely space and spot!

Pedro's place was really cozy, me and my friend really enjoyed our stay. At the place we stayed at a few days before we were freezing at night, so it was so amazing to finally be at an airbnb where the heater and air conditioning work properly! We could adjust the temperature easily anytime with a remote. All instructions were super clear because of the app / website link that has all the details in one place. Also, Pedro checked in multiple times just in case we have any questions or need help and is super responsive. This airbnb is only a few minutes away from various restaurants and a beautiful beach which is super convenient. There is also a supermarket right next door. Thank you so much Pedro for making our stay so comfortable!

This apartment has a terrace with a wonderful view of the coast and beach. It is in a quiet area but within walking distance to Old Town. There is a very nice market also within walking distance. The apartment has everything you need for an extended stay.

This was one of the best stocked rentals I have ever stayed in. It has a very large balcony with great views of the water. I did not have a car so having needed amenities (grocery store, train) close by was important. There is a nice boardwalk that runs in front of the building with lots of restaurants, shops and a local fresh fish and vegetable market nearby. You can see the Spar mini market from the balcony. The train station is about a 15 minute walk, but would recommend Uber if you have luggage. I walked to the train and went to Tavira for the day. The host, Tomas, was absolutely amazing. Great communication and provided flexible check-in and check-out which was appreciated. It is very obvious he is concerned for his guests and wants them to have the best experience possible. Highly recommend!!

We had a great time in this apartment. Perfect for 5 people. It is large and very well-equipped. There is everything you need (windshields and umbrellas included for beach enthusiasts). The host is very responsive and, even though we had a hot water issue, she was able to respond instantly, and the issue was resolved in just 4 hours. You deserve the 5 stars, because everything was perfect, and even if you had any problems, you were able to be responsive. Quality customer service for a good value for the money. Beautiful house! Very clean and stylishly decorated! We had an great week and felt very comfortable. The house is located just outside Silves surrounded by nature. We will be happy to come back!

To use just one word to describe Jan home: wonderful! If you are looking for a peaceful place, close to nature and away from busy cities then this is your place to stay. It has everything you'll need and perhaps Jan you'll do his best for more if needed. To us, his home was a piece of heaven and it did reminded me of my grandparents place when I was a young and spend the time summer holidays with them. Here you have orange trees and all you have to do is to pick one or two and enjoy them. Oh, I shall not forget Odin (the Cat). He gave us a big welcome in the first day but because we made the mistake not to allow her inside he completly ignored us during the stay. We had the 2nd chance on the last day when he joins us a for a breakfast! :-) Things to mention: you'll need a car (not a low small car but rather a mini SUV perhaps) as it's not close to a bus or train routes. Good Wifi receptions. We will return for sure as there is so much to see around. Thank you Jan for hospitality!

We had a wonderful time at Jan's place. The garden with natural pool are laid out with great effort and care and prepare a unique experience in quiet nature. This place is excellent for just unwinding for a few days and experiencing the beautiful hinterland of the Algarve. Thank you!

This was the best house we have stayed in around the Aljezur/Arrifana area. This was our 3rd visit to the area and we stayed at Marta’s on a friends recommendation. There are even peekaboo views of the ocean. The house is non-corporate in every good way. There is an ancient piano in the living room - and it was correctly tuned! There is local art and the furniture is not just ikea cheap stuff. The kitchen was well stocked and clean. The area is great - kind of in between two different beaches. You can drive 3 minutes to a bunch of restaurants or walk 10 minutes to a few others at the roundabout. We did a run in the morning and there’s even a lake about 5 minutes away. All very peaceful, no traffic. We would happily stay here again.

Hard not to fall in love with this place. Everything one could dream of. It’s a very relaxed environment with two very cool humans, whom which have built a little town of their own if you don’t say! We were lucky enough to have a little tour of the place, hear about how it all started. Went horseback riding with Chris which was incredo. Swam in the pond, sat in the sauna but mostly just enjoyed the view. And hung out with the doggos. Thank you. Will definitely come again when I return to Portugal.

We had a pleasant stay. Bruna's welcome is very friendly. Listing is as described. Very clean and tastefully decorated. The barbecue was well present. the place a haven of peace. we highly recommend it.

What a special place! In the mountains and so beautiful. Jacqueline and her family were really nice and generous with their time. Definitely would come back again.
