Giuseppe Garibaldi, stayed there in 1884 to recover with the aid of the thermal waters from the wounds suffered during the battle of Aspromonte. My accommodation is less than 1km from the center of Forio, from the public transport that connects Forio with all the other municipalities. The nearest beaches are Cava on the island, Citara where there is also the Poseidon thermal park, Chiaia. 100 meters away is a kiosk with a descent to the sea for breakfast lunch and amazing sunset aperitifs! The village is well served, shops, supermarkets, fish market,bar,pubs and restaurants! Ideal for a couple's stay!
