Our guesthouse (2015) is located at a unique spot in "Mooi Drenthe". It sits idyllically among characteristic farms near Peize and Roden. You'll love our place because of the tranquility and the beautiful views over the countryside. This area is known for its many hiking and biking trails and is very close to the city for fascinating excursions in the cultural area. Our place is suitable for couples, solo adventurers, and business travelers, and can also be rented for longer periods of time.

Ons zelf ontworpen huisje ligt midden in de velden, op 45 minuten rijden van Amsterdam. Het staat op een kleinschalig recreatiepark, waar wij ook een ander huisje hebben onder de naam Familie Buitenhuys. Je slaapt in een volledig huisje met vloerverwarming en alle comfort. In de master bedroom staat een bad bij het raam, met uitzicht over de weilanden. Vanuit het bad zie je Nederland in zijn puurste vorm. Licht, eigenzinnig en speels ingedeeld. A beautiful wooden house located on my parents' property. Relax in an oasis of greenery from spring to early autumn, a beautiful warm autumn feeling when the trees change color or seek coziness in the winter months. In the beautiful surroundings, there are many places to visit. Giethoorn, fortified town Steenwijk and the Havelterheide. Furthermore, there are three national parks nearby, NP Weerribben Wieden, the Drents Friese Wold and the Dwingelderveld.

The perfect getaway! The cottage is situated on a small family estate, in beautiful forest, just outside a village (at just 600m ), in the largest nature area of The Netherlands, with ancient woods and vast fields of heather on its doorstep. The house is spacious but also cosy and comfortable, with a luxury bathroom, complete kitchen, a woodburner stove and all the other comfort you need. Wolves can sometimes be heard howling, if you're lucky...
