Holiday rentals in Gabriola Island

This was one of the best Airbnbs we’ve stayed at. The pictures don’t capture how nice it is. Very clean and comfortable beds. The kitchen was well equipped for cooking meals. We appreciated Chris’s kindness and hospitality.

This cottage exceeded our expectations and was perfect for our family, offering much more space than the photos suggested. It came fully equipped with all the necessary amenities and then some. The atmosphere was incredibly comfortable, adding a touch of luxury to our stay. My kids were thrilled to have the pool just across the street, which made our vacation so much more relaxing with easy access to entertainment. The hot tub provided a wonderful spot for unwinding. Being located in a resort meant we had access to fantastic amenities, including a delicious taco and margarita bar right on site and a beautiful Aveda spa that was surprisingly affordable, all within a minute's walk. It truly felt like a getaway!

Such a cute place! Right in the heart of the town so it was easy to walk to the nearby restaurants and shops. Also, right on the beach with easy access. Will definitely stay here again!

Wildwood cabins was a lovely and private getaway. Reg was super responsive to all of our questions and has maintained a space that is a beautiful retreat. It’s perfectly dog-friendly (on leash) and within a short drive of everything you’d like to do on the weekend. A couple of notes: I’d recommend bringing your own ground coffee for the MOKA pot (what is provided runs out quick), and only a few groceries for breakfast/lunch due to the small fridge. Otherwise, you’ll have everything you need on site. Enjoy your island stay!

My friends, family, and I had a wonderful time staying at Erica’s place. The home was cozy, spotless, and beautifully designed, truly an amazing space overall! Everything we needed was provided, and the kitchen pantry was well-stocked, especially with a variety of teas that we happily enjoyed (we may have gone through most of them!). Erica was responsive, helpful, and polite in answering all our questions. We’ll definitely recommend her place and won’t hesitate to book again for our next visit. Thank you so much for giving us the BEST STAY EVER!

We loved this Airbnb. Besides the convenient location and fabulous view, there were so many extras that made the place special – the gas fireplace in the living room and heat lamp on the patio were especially cozy touches, and the kitchen was better stocked than mine at home. The unit was incredibly spacious (as only two guests we never even went downstairs, but it would be perfect for a family with older kids to have their own space) and comfortable. Highly recommend!

Pat's place is awesome. We, a family of four - two adults and two kids (one is at teen age and another one is younger), spent a great long weekend there. Bright, cozy condo with great view from almost any window. It fits all of us, has a nice kitchen with everything you need for your stay. Heated pool with a hot tub, which we and kids enjoyed, just downstairs. The Bay is very good for paddle boarding. We did twice over our stay. If tide is low, you can reach a tiny island where you can find lots of purple and orange sea stars, crabs, and oysters. Ladysmith and Nanaimo suggest great dinner options. Nanaimo also has a nice walkable Marina merging into Maffeo Sutton park. If you like hikes, we tried Extension Ridge Trail hike near Nanaimo and can strongly recommend it to anyone. Malahat Tower is a fun place to visit, just one hour of driving from "Inn of the Sea" resort, we've been there, and were not disappointed. Will definitely stay again at Pat's place.

Lynna and Dennis’s cottage was the single best airbnb experience we’ve had. The space is beautiful and cozy, and our hosts were infinitely kind and welcoming. There is so much to do on this property—it was a true “choose your own adventure” experience. It seemed like every day we discovered a new nook or cranny that Lynna and Dennis have put there to surprise and delight guests. We kayaked, explored the tide pools, lit the wood stove when it got chilly out, and had an all around wonderful time. Their recommendations for things to try around the island were spot on. (Check out the whale watch they suggest—we had a blast, and learned a lot about the region!) There is so much more to be done and enjoyed on this property and on Orcas than we could fit into four days, and we sincerely hope we’ll have the chance to return soon!

Wonderful cottage just on the edge of Rathtrevor. We had friends camping in the park and we didn’t want to camp with a toddler so this was the perfect solution. Pet friendly, private, quiet. Cottage had everything you’d need. Host was very responsive and helpful. Had high chair, pack and play, baby gate. Would stay again!
