Holiday rentals with a fire pit in Gennes-Val-de-Loire

We had a lovely stay, the Fortinerie campsite is a pleasant place surrounded by nature. Tina and her husband were welcoming and friendly. The tent offers all the amenities and is tastefully decorated. The hot tub is a really great plus! We recommend it for an atypical experience.

We had a very nice stay with Anneli and Jamie as a family with 2 children aged 14 and 12. The house belongs to a small group of renovated, old, French country houses, which are very tastefully decorated. An inspiration! The hosts are very nice and helpful. The pool is great and the change from visiting small towns and castles of the area and cooling off by the pool was wonderful. You can also do sports well if you want and avoid the hot phases of the day. We had a very nice week and can recommend this place to anyone who loves seclusion in nature and like to be inspired by nature and beauty on vacation.

We enjoyed a 4 night stay with our 7 month old baby. The accommodation was lovely, and Charlotte and her husband were helpful and attentive - providing us with a baby bath and high chair to use. Despite the weather, we enjoyed using the pool, which has a wooden fence surrounding it now. The kitchen facilities were fine, and the portable hob provided worked really well. Having read previous reviews, we took a portable blackout blind with us for the room which helped ensure the sun didn’t wake us too early, but there is now a curtain installed on that back window. The surroundings are beautiful - maize fields and sunflowers. There is a Boulangerie and supermarket a short drive away in Brissac-quincé and the bigger cities of Angers and Saumur are within 40 mins. I would highly recommend a stay here, it worked perfectly for us. Although if you have a child that is crawling you might find the space a little small and the stairs quite treacherous!

Lydie’s place is lovely, comfortable and clean. The gardens are beautiful and we would love to come back in the summer to enjoy the pool. Lydie was very friendly, accommodating and responsive.

Thanks to Celine for hosting us and for her kindness! There is nothing to say about the accommodation except that it is perfect! All the equipment present is very good and the place is very quiet. I would definitely recommend!!

We had a wonderful stay at this cottage: we loved its volumes and exotic environment, but also the layout and neat decoration. Everything was perfect, we hope to come back next time!

Peaceful stay in the countryside. We felt immediately at home and the house was very well equipped, especially for kids (we stayed with a 1 & 3 year old). The kids loved the trampoline and other outdoor toys when they weren't chasing the chickens around and saying hi to the sheep. Rozenn & Thomas were very welcoming and helpful with local recommendations etc during our stay. We enjoyed visiting Saumur, Montsoreau, the zoo at Doué-la-Fontaine and had some nice walks and bike rides. Great location for exploring the many picturesque towns and châteaux around. We hope to return one day!

Lovely quiet house near great sites. Virginie was very accommodating and helpful. The bed is so comfortable, too.

We had an absolutely perfect long weekend! The sun was at the rendezvous, the house is superb, tastefully decorated and very well equipped, and the grounds are a real little piece of paradise. Special mention to our host, warm and welcoming, who immediately made us feel at ease. A place we treasure — thank you for a wonderful stay!
