Holiday rentals with a fireplace in Grand Lake

Myself and my wife from Dublin, Ireland along with our adult daughter living in Melbourne , Australia spent 3 nights in Rob's cottage beside a lake in Lakeville Corner, New Brunswick, Canada. The cottage and surrounding area were exactly as described by Rob in his listing and for us it was the perfect location as we availed of the 2 kayaks provided via the property frontage straight onto the water. We also availed of the 2 bikes which we used along with a further bike hired in Fredericton( an easy 30 min drive away from Rob's cottage)on that town's network of off-road cycletracks alongside and near the St John's River. We also took a car ride to Fundy National Park visiting Alma and several stop off points for hikes etc. Rob's communication was excellent in all respects. All in all we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and we would highly recommend Rob's cottage in all respects including in terms of location, cleanliness and facilties provided.

Beautiful space. As depicted in photos, better in person! Great kitchen. Beds were comfy. Absolutely loved the wood burning stove. We made max use of this feature. Very relaxing weekend. A little remote but that’s what we were looking for.

Great property in a beautiful location. The cottage is large and has everything needed for a relaxing vacation. The kitchen was great and easy to prepare meals for our group of six. Very quiet location. The rear yard is large and plenty of room for outside activities. The rear yard is right on the river and the dock makes it easy to put in the canoe. Great spot for canoeing and fishing. We had a great weekend and wouldn't hesitate to book again.

We were looking to host a family Boxing Day dinner for 14 people and then stay and relax for a couple days afterwards. Tania was receptive to our plans. She let us know there may not be enough seating for that many people to sit down so we came prepared with an extra table and some folding chairs. We had tons of room. The living room was very spacious with comfortable chairs and couch. The wood stove made it very cozy. The bedrooms were large and the beds very comfortable. The most beautiful view of the lake. This is a huge property, well kept and a perfect place to watch the sunset. The home has everything you need. Plenty of space,comfortable beds, bathrooms are well stocked. Many nice added touches left for the guests to enjoy. We are already planning our next trip. The host Peter was quick to respond, very kind and eager to make sure your stay is perfect. Highly recommend!

Great place for the size of our family. Pricing wise could of been better considering all the things we had to clean up when we got there.

Beautiful, clean, has everything you need and then some. Hot tub was amazing and had so much fun relaxing by the water. Cheryle was amazing and made us feel very at home. Will be back again and again.

Amanda provided a great price for the comfortable, clean and quiet space that also included parking. She also left some laundry soap that made such a difference during my stay. I had traveled from Mexico, then to NB last minute due to family emergency. Amanda was easy to communicate with and assured me that the hospital was 5 minutes away. I am very lucky to have found this perfect little gem. Thank you Amanda

Beautiful river view from house, short walk down to water. Very nice home. Great hosts, very friendly. Allowed to use kayaks, very nice. Playground nearby for kids to use. Very quiet area. 1.3km to grocery store/pizza.

Thank you Wendy and Tony for your warmth and kindness, and willingness to accommodate a special request upon arrival (regarding luggage holding). The apartment is exactly as described and photographed. Tony cleared the driveway & parking of snow during a storm, and even helped brush our car of the accumulated snow while parked in the driveway. Wendy was very proactive with communication to ensure the apartment remained well stocked and equipped for our stay. Fredericton is a beautiful city and Wendy and Tony are wonderful examples of New Brunswick hospitality. They truly wanted to make our stay comfortable, and saw to our every need. This is a great place to stay in downtown Fredericton, close to everything. We loved the various modern touches. It was very clean and welcoming with complimentary products. The room temperature remained comfortable and warm. We unfortunately did not have enough hot water for our three individual showers in the morning and think it must be due to the very cold weather this weekend (maybe the tank froze)? We were unsure if our conversations after our Saturday night out would disturb the neighbors in the other unit (we hope not) as we heard footsteps above us and wondered if they could hear us. Maybe the walls are thin? We ended up being cautious and had no issues. The hosts proactively sent and responded to messages in anticipation of our stay, and checked in on us during and after. We are confident that they would have helped us if we had needed assistance or stayed longer. Not only would we recommend this place, we would happily stay there again!

Hayden is a great guy, and Jenny is wonderful. I had the chance to meet Hayden and he told me a few stories that made me further appreciate the design of this beautiful place. The kitchen is superior. You can just tell that Hayden and Jenny take great care of the place and you can feel their high level standard in providing a comfortable, well thought out, and clean home. And the location is within walking of everything from grocery to downtown. On a quiet sunny neighborly street. This is an EXCEPTIONAL place. We have stayed 2 separate weeks over the course of a year. The carriage home suits all of our needs. The beds are comfortable, plenty of linens and pillow selections, and the peacefulness of the property makes it easy to relax. The living room couches are comfy and having access to a washer/dryer within the unit is appreciated. The kitchen is adequately stocked for basic cooking needs. Lee has always been very pleasant and easy to deal with. He was quick to clear the snow during our recent stay. We will happily return for future stays.
