We spent a wonderful two nights at Karen and Steven’s airbnb. We unexpectedly had the first snow of the year during our stay and it was like a magical winter wonderland. We felt so cozy inside with the fireplace watching the snow slowly falling outside. We went on an amazing hike on old baldy trail which was easily accessed right from the backyard of the property on foot. They provided great recommendations for restaurants and given the snow, we were thankful that we had great walkable options. We so hope to be able to come back and would recommend this place for anyone looking for a peaceful retreat in the woods and nature. From the moment that we arrived, we fell in love with the cottage environment and our surroundings. The cottage was so cozy and perfect for our stay. Nick was also a phenomenal host! So responsive and attentive to our requests and needs. We ended up having to stay one more night than planned due to the snowstorm. Nick was so flexible and understanding - allowing us to stay one more night while apologizing for the inconvenience the weather was causing us even though it wasn’t his fault. Even though he couldn’t get the snow removal services to come our way, he drove to the Airbnb to remove snow himself, showing how committed he is to making sure his guests are comfortable and have a good experience. Nick was kind and probably the best host we’ve ever had. We will gladly book his cottage again in the future when visiting the area!
