A lovely, cosy (with complete privacy) holiday cottage in the beautiful Frisian water sports village of Woudsend. The village is located in the heart of the Frisian lake district. You will be staying with the harbour master of Woudsend, Corine. The cottage's flower garden (butterfly garden) offers plenty of privacy and is situated right below the 't Lam' corn mill. Come here to unwind with your loved one, away from the hustle and bustle. You will find peace and quiet, and you will be woken by the sounds of tits, blackbirds and sparrows (and sometimes, on Sundays, by the church bells). Bicycles available! There are also beautiful ATB routes nearby that you can try out. You can do shopping in the village itself. If you are looking for a larger shopping center, Gorredijk (known for Rinsma modeplein) Sportstad/Thialf Heerenveen, Drachten, Leeuwarden, and Sneek are also easy to drive to.

Romantic, heated, spacious shepherd's hut with bathroom, toilet and kitchen. Cosy box-bed, comfortable couch, TV incl. Netflix and Amazon Prime. In Summer the (shared) pool can be used by guests. The jacuzzi can be booked separately for €30 per 2 h. All in the peaceful countryside with a view of storks in the season. All you need for the perfect getaway can be found here or in the area. The nature reserve Weerribben-Wieden is only 3 km away and Giethoorn a 20-min. drive. We have rental bikes.

Apartment Grutto is located on the 2nd floor and can accommodate up to 4 people, with living room/kitchen with sofa bed, separate bedroom and bathroom. The apartment is fully furnished and equipped with every comfort. There is plenty of parking space. Furthermore, we are easily accessible by public transportation (5 minutes' walk). There is also a sandy beach on the Tjeukemeer within a 5-minute walk.

Even from your bed, you can enjoy the great views and a beautiful sunrise. Who knows, you might spot deer, cows, birds and hares in the meadow. Enjoy the alpacas in the yard. The Landzicht is a great starting point to explore the area. Located near nature reserves, Drachten and the A7.

Tiny House “Sleeping on the Lytse Geast”

At the end of 2023, we converted our cozy B&B into an apartment that is equipped with all comforts. And we speak from experience because during the renovation of our own house, we lived in it ourselves! 🏡 Also check out our website! The accommodation is located in a rural area, but also close to Leeuwarden and Dokkum. The perfect base for hiking and cycling. Your four-legged friend is welcome! 🐾 For the first day, you can order a luxurious DIY breakfast for €17.50 (2 people).

The Carriage House near Leeuwarden

Rural location on the Elfsteden route, on the edge of the Leeuwarder forest we rent out our "6 person coach house". The former coach house we have converted into a beautiful apartment and is next to our farm with private terrace on the south. Do you want to stay in a quiet environment where nature plays the main role then this apartment is for you. We, Ate and Gerda are owners since 2016 and have made our farm in Jelsum completely sustainable.

A beautiful part of Friesland, with beautiful sunsets. Around this area, many cycling routes can be found, including the famous ferry route. The parking lot at the water villa has a charging station. A maximum of 2 vehicles are allowed in the Arkenpark.
