A lovely, cosy (with complete privacy) holiday cottage in the beautiful Frisian water sports village of Woudsend. The village is located in the heart of the Frisian lake district. You will be staying with the harbour master of Woudsend, Corine. The cottage's flower garden (butterfly garden) offers plenty of privacy and is situated right below the 't Lam' corn mill. Come here to unwind with your loved one, away from the hustle and bustle. You will find peace and quiet, and you will be woken by the sounds of tits, blackbirds and sparrows (and sometimes, on Sundays, by the church bells). Upstairs in the Netherlands, near the Wadden Coast, you will find this sustainable and energy-neutral tiny house. The cottage is lovingly decorated down to the last detail. Everything you need is available. It is made entirely of wood and has a surface area of 30m². The tiny house is located at the back of our property and is surrounded by a natural garden. This gives it a wide view with plenty of privacy. The tranquillity and space in this lovely cottage feels like a real experience, a place to dream away for a while!

The Slaaplokaal in Wierum is a beautiful and cozy apartment with a spacious private garden, located in a former primary school 100m from the Wadden Sea. It is located in the middle of the Unesco World Heritage site, where you can intensely enjoy the peace and beauty of the Wadden area. The apartment is very spacious and can accommodate up to 5 people. If you are looking for a larger shopping center, Gorredijk (known for Rinsma modeplein) Sportstad/Thialf Heerenveen, Drachten, Leeuwarden, and Sneek are also easy to drive to.

You are welcome to stay on our organic snowdrop farm all year round. From December through April you will be able to enjoy thousands of snowdrops, stinsenplants, and a free tour around the nursery. We are far from the hustle and bustle of the city but still within easy reach of local towns, villages and attractions. The farm is a beautiful and quiet spot, in the middle of the Noord-Holland countryside of the Wieringermeer polder. Our own small green piece of paradise. We hope to see you soon!

Within 15 minutes by bike (available for hire), you can be at Potten Beach or in the bustle of the town, while on your return you will once again enjoy the tranquillity of the Frisian countryside. The perfect combination of vibrancy and relaxation. The detached húske is stylishly and tastefully furnished and equipped with every comfort.

The Landscape

In this luxurious spacious home, you will experience rural life at its best! With a magnificent view over the countryside in the characteristic landscape of the Frisian Forests, it is wonderful to relax. Even from your bed, you can enjoy the great views and a beautiful sunrise. Who knows, you might spot deer, cows, birds and hares in the meadow. Enjoy the alpacas in the yard. The Landzicht is a great starting point to explore the area. Located near nature reserves, Drachten and the A7.

Tiny House “Sleeping on the Lytse Geast”

At the end of 2023, we converted our cozy B&B into an apartment that is equipped with all comforts. And we speak from experience because during the renovation of our own house, we lived in it ourselves! 🏡 Also check out our website! The accommodation is located in a rural area, but also close to Leeuwarden and Dokkum. The perfect base for hiking and cycling. The Carriage House near Leeuwarden

Rural location on the Elfsteden route, on the edge of the Leeuwarder forest we rent out our "6 person coach house". The former coach house we have converted into a beautiful apartment and is next to our farm with private terrace on the south. Do you want to stay in a quiet environment where nature plays the main role then this apartment is for you. We, Ate and Gerda are owners since 2016 and have made our farm in Jelsum completely sustainable.
