Kamesei Ryokan is a family-run traditional onsen inn with mostly warm wood construction and gardens throughout. We are an American-Japanese couple that are happy to share our onsen town Togura-Kamiyamada with visitors curious about the Japanese countryside. You can relax wearing yukata robes in your private tatami mat rooms and enjoy the hot spring mineral baths rich in sulfur content. (The onsen baths are tattoo-friendly.) The building is renovated traditional Japanese house so that you can enjoy cozy Japanese atmosphere and have a relaxing time on the Kotatsu, hammock and couch sofa in the common area. The room is Japanese-style dormitory room with bunk beds. Each bed has a reading light, outlets and a storage box for valuable items.
