The next closest bus stop (Iinetate) is about a 7-minute walk. You can also get here by public transportation. Walking distance to restaurants such as Mori-no-Eki, Iizuna Soba, ramen, hamburgers, etc. About 25 minutes by car from Nagano Station and Zenkoji Temple. Togakushi Shrine is about a 15-minute drive away. It is also a great base for golfing and skiing in the direction of Togakushi, Kurohime, and Myoko. Tangram Madarao Ski Trip | Private Rental Cottage, 3-minute walk to the slopes

Mimo's Cottage is a renovated pottery studio cottage. It is located in a place where you can enjoy the beautiful nature of Shinano-cho, Nagano Prefecture, which is rich in nature, and there are many magnificent mountains nearby, so you can enjoy various activities such as skiing, trekking, and water sports at Lake Nojiri throughout the year. The cottage has an atrium tatami mat living room for families and friends to gather. The three bedrooms are clean and warm, and all rooms are relaxing. There is a Japanese-style room on the ground floor and a total of 3 bedrooms, 2 large and 1 small, on the second floor. During the snow season, it is in a great location just a 5-minute walk to the 6th lift of the Tangram Ski Circus, with excellent access to the ski slopes. Famous ski resorts such as Myoko area ski resorts, Nozawa Onsen, and Roketa Alpine Resort are also 30-40 minutes away by car. It is the perfect place for those who want to enjoy winter activities. Guest house Mökki is located in Shinano-cho, blessed with forests, lakes and snow in northern Nagano Prefecture. Nearby, there are many natural sightseeing spots such as Kurohime Highlands, Lake Nojiri, and Togakushi. A building from the development era, it has been stylishly renovated using plenty of natural materials such as pure cedar, hinoki cypress, and plaster. We also focused on the interior and kitchen utensils so that you can enjoy "living". In the winter, when it is completely covered in snow, you can enjoy the beautiful view of the snow-covered landscape. You can follow animal tracks on snowshoes and go on a snowy picnic, or enjoy a bonfire and BBQ in the riverside house in winter. There are also 7 ski resorts within a 30-minute drive. This house overlooks Lake Nojiri and has a superb view. There are several ski resorts (Myoko, Kurohime, Madarao) about 15-20 minutes away by car, making it a perfect base for winter sports. Enjoy the wood stove sauna and the water bath with a view. There are no private houses around, so you can listen to music and watch movies loudly. Because it is a house located deep in the mountains, we take the best measures, but in the warm season, insects come out. It snows a lot in winter. In autumn, fallen leaves dance. You will also need to adjust the wood stove fire yourself. It's not an easy house to live in, but we promise you a great view and experience. Enjoy cooking with a counter kitchen with a view, condiments and cooking utensils. (There is no equipment for BBQ)

We recommend driving to explore more around the highlands and snow tires (or chains) are a must have during winter.
