Holiday rentals with a fire pit in Hammonds Plains

We chose this place because it was close by and it is Winter. We had a big snow storm the day of our arrival. Fortunately we only had a 20 min drive and yet it felt like we were in the woods. Robert greeted us and showed us around his lovely home. It was a place where the whole family could spend Christmas Eve and Christmas Day together. All eight of us declared it was the best family Christmas we had in a long time. The beauty could be seen from every window. We were provided with everything we needed to have meals together and to play games and the young adults loved the hot tub. Robert had a beautiful Christmas tree set up and there was lots of little cozy spots to have one on one chats with each other. We realized after meeting Robert that he would be so cool to hang out with but he had other family plans. We are seriously considering making it a new Christmas Tradition.

We were celebrating a 50th birthday with a spa day nearby. The 4 bedrooms was a dream! The house had all we needed and then some. The host was amazing from beginning to end. Responsive. Proactive. Friendly. We spent 2 stormy nights and we're cozy the whole time. Thanks for the great weekend.

Probably out favorite AirBnB to date. We needed a bigger place than usual for the whole family - and this perfectly fit the bill. Huge, great kitchen, very comfortable, and very clean. Everything was A1. It only took us 24 minutes on average to get from here to Centennial Pool for our swim meet - totally worth the short drive to have a place that comfortably accommodated everyone. Would definitely stay here again if we need a similar size location in Halifax again.

I can't begin to explain the scerene beauty that this place Tania's place offers. Stunningly beautiful views and a sunrise that leaves you breathless. The hosts were very welcoming and helpful, and their amazing dogs made the whole place feel like home. We will definitely be back. If I could ever recommend somewhere to be near Halifax but out of this city this hidden gem is an absolute must!!!

Our family had a fantastic Christmas at Deanna’s. It looks exactly as advertised, and is just really comfortable. Deanna was very helpful and timely in responding to questions, prior to, and during our stay. She was very flexible and accommodating to meet our timing needs. Awesome location and view. The accommodation is great, well taken care of and great for a family stay. Will definitely stay here again if back in the area.

Our large family enjoyed a 5 night stay at the house and it is easily one of the nicest in our memory of AirBnB homes. There was lots of space for our group and the little kids loved exploring outside. We hosted some extra family one evening for dinner and found everything needed in the well appointed kitchen. The beds were very comfortable too! We loved everything about this home. It's little out of the city but that was ok for us. A memorable trip for us!

STUNNING property and location! The home was beautifully decorated with lots of modern touches. It included everything you needed. Lots of cookware/table settings/towels and shower items and was incredibly clean! We were a family of 7 and there was lots of space for everyone to be more than comfortable the whole stay. We loved that we were able to have the two sets of adults in each a bedroom and the kids all shared the room with two beds. The surrounding area is stunning. A quaint little village of locals and other Airbnb's and right on Peggy's Cove. It was incredible! The views are absolutely gorgeous. The only thing we didn't really like was the cost of the cleaning fee. We thought $250 was a bit much for a 3 night stay. Other than that, we truly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend to anyone!

This little spot so cute! Tracy & Dave have made the most of every square inch of this suite. So many lovely touches, a thorough guide book on the counter & everything you could think of to be comfortable. We requested help with luggage up the stairs & they were so accommodating. The top floor suite has a view of the water & the back yard but it is at the very top! Mahone Bay has great restaurants and coffee places, everything is nearby to Tracy’s place. The people , though, make it extra special. We were welcomed everywhere. Thank you, Tracy & Dave!

It was a truly wonderful stay! The host was extremely kind and respectful, so helpful and friendly that I felt like I was staying at a five-star hotel. The place was clean, comfortable, and exactly as described. I highly recommend it... but please don't book all the dates - I might want to come back soon!

This was the most amazing place. We spent a week here and Everything you needed or wanted was right in this place. The surroundings were peaceful, very inviting. Gillian checked in with us halfway through our stay to see if we needed anything. The beds were very comfy. The firepit is beautiful there was a fully stacked wood pile to use for the fire. There were lots of chairs all around to sit outside or out by the the dock. We would stay again in a heartbeat. Thank you Gillian and Scott for your hospitality.

A great place to relax and unwind. Hot tub was perfect and super clean. Host was very attentive.

We stayed for 6 months and it was absolutely wonderful! There were lots of beaches and trails nearby to take our dog. The views were amazing! We even saw a seal once! The apartment was beautiful as well, especially the kitchen (as someone who loves to cook and bake it was perfect!) It's the perfect distance from Halifax if you don't like the bustle of a city but still want to do some sightseeing if you don't mind driving a bit! Overall we loved every part of our stay :)

We had nothing short of an amazing stay at Tee’s place. We had the easiest check in, everything was so clean and looked exactly like the pictures, we enjoyed the hot tub every chance we got, and we loved that he provided us with a speaker!! Tee was so accommodating and easy to communicate with, which we really appreciated. It was the perfect location, away from the hustle and bustle, and a short 5 minute walk to the bus stop.. This was so convenient for us, since we were able to buy a bus pass and take the bus to the water. It was also a 5 minute walk to a bunch of cute shops, restaurants and cafes which is super helpful if you ever just want to go grab a quick coffee or a pastry, or go for dinner close by. We definitely will be back and would recommend Tee’s place to anyone looking to stay in Halifax. Thanks Tee!

An amazing and peaceful escape to the woods. The cabin is perfect with a beautiful deck and view. Has just the right amount of comfort while allowing you to enjoy nature. Tina and Graham are fantastic hosts, kind people, and take pride in their perfect cabin in the woods. Our dog was welcome and comfortable with lots of space to explore, they even loaned us their visibility vests and a dog bed! We will definitely be coming back.

We absolutely loved our stay over Easter weekend! Scott was very friendly and easy to connect with! It was a weekend of relaxation and connecting with nature! The hot tub was a great addition. Also the gorgeous wood work!! Also the sunrises from the loft were incredible!! We will definitely be coming back!

Lina’s place is extraordinary. So quiet and peaceful a great getaway from the city. Lina’s place had everything we could need for weekend away- they even had robes for after the hot tub! The king bed was super comfy! We will be back.

Great spot to visit for a weekend getaway! Even though the cabin is attached to their house, the hosts made us feel secluded and welcome.

Such a beautiful place and our hosts went over and above, loved the tranquility, view, gardens, ducks, and even deer. Can’t say enough about the wonderful food that was prepared and delivered to our door. We were spoiled, and enjoyed meeting and watching a sunset with Kim, Craig and family.
