Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Hickory

This was a great, cozy, place to stay for the week we stayed there. Very peaceful neighborhood and would recommend this home. Good , responsive hosts as well.

Such a wonderful home away from home. Very family/children friendly. The host decorated for Christmas which made our stay so special. There are also lots of toys and amenities for children. Very clean, great location, and easy check in/check out.

My wife, 4-legged son, and I stayed here for a business trip. Home and yard were perfect for our needs. Althought the road in fron was a little busy at times, no problems or noise were experienced. We would stay here again.

Vivian’s place was nothing short of amazing. The home is so clean and beautifully decorated. It literally looks like something out of Southern Living magazine. I travel a lot and I must stay the master bathroom shower is to die for. When I come back to Gastonia I will book to stay at here again!

We enjoyed our stay at this beautiful home 5 mins away from a million restaurants! The home was very spacious and welcoming. Everything exceeded our expectations with this 5 bedroom 3 bath home. It was definitely a stay that made us all not want to leave. The location was very peaceful and quiet and I would definitely recommend anyone to book this place. It was well worth it and if we happen to be vacationing near charlotte again I will definitely be looking up this listing.

My family and I enjoyed our stay. The house was clean and very home like feeling. It was hard to find at night but there was parking space when guests came to visit. Also the host let us check in early so very flexible. I definitely will stay here again if i'm the area.

WOW! is the first word out of my mouth as we pulled up to Fred and Karen’s home.  The property and home are stunning with everything we needed for our stay.  We loved hearing about the history of the house. Meeting Mr. Biggs and Mercy was a huge plus for we own farm animals so it felt like a home away from home.  Highly recommend if you are coming to this beautiful area!  

This was an awesome stay! Looked even better than the pictures, plenty of room and super clean. Sunroom and grill was awesome. Thomas was very responsive and friendly to answer all our questions and accommodate requests. Great price too!!

Rene was such an awesome host! The apartment looked incredible and welcoming for the holiday season. I truly enjoyed the conversations and fellowship we had. I give the airbnb a ten star! Hope to go back there one day!

Rented this for a one night stay-cation for Valentine’s Day and it was perfect! Had an amazing dinner at Chophouse 101, which we walked to. This is a perfect place to enjoy the hustle and bustle of downtown Kannapolis and then retreat to the quiet apartment above.

Little trouble with the lock, but the host was quick to resolve the issue. Also, location is 10/10.

This was perfect for quick weekend trip as a single female. The apartment itself is much bigger than the pictures make it appear. It's spacious, well-kept, and beautifully decorated. The furniture is a little dated, but it's very comfortable and enjoyable. Super soft bed, many places have really uncomfortable mattresses, that's not the case here. I did not want to get out of bed. Super walkable to everything I wanted/needed to do and I felt safe even venturing out at night. My only recommendation would be to update the outdoor furniture on the balcony.

Yes. The Airbnb matched the pictures and descriptions. I feel in love with the bed. Extremely comfortable!! Might need information on bedding. Neighbors quiet. Easy access very comfortable.

Great place! Very clean and as described. 2 things wish I knew when booking: Tire chains and/or All Wheel Drive are a requirement. Sugar Top Resort was windy during our stay, which means you can hear all sorts of air vents banging from the fireplace. This was incredibly annoying at night, and would keep a light sleeper awake. We talked to other guests in the elevator about this and it seems an issue for the whole resort.

The condo was well equipped, nicely furnished and decorated. Kitchen was stocked with everything we needed. Unit on second floor elevator close by. Parking was on street but we had no problem finding convenient spots. Shower pressure was great! A/C was not locked at a temp which is a must for a hot sleeper. We definitely recommend Katie’s condo!

Place was great, fit what we were looking for for a family of 5 (including an infant). Open space to play and cook/entertain.

We had the best time at Nicole’s place. The condo is very spacious, extremely clean, peaceful, and has beautiful views. We loved hanging out on the porch and winding down inside by the fireplace. The kitchen is stocked with everything you need to cook. We took advantage of the playground and indoor pool located on the resort. The location is super close to Main Street and right by the blue ridge parkway for many hikes. Nicole is super responsive for any questions. We will be back!

I absolutely loved this place—it was perfect for my husband and me! While our 4-year-old couldn’t join us this time, I could easily see how it would be an ideal spot for families with kids. The space was not only clean and well-maintained but also in a fantastic location—just a short distance from the ski resort entrance and great dining options. Plus, the views were absolutely breathtaking! I really appreciated how kid-friendly the home was, with thoughtful safety features like corner protectors on the beds, coffee tables, and kitchen island. It’s clear they go the extra mile to make guests feel comfortable. Definitely staying here again!

This is an amazing house to stay in if you are skiing at Sugar Mountain. First, the location is so convenient. We never got in our car and walked back and forth to resort every day. Second, it has everything you need and appreciated the extra touches like paper towels and other staples that we did not have to purchase. Third, the hosts are very responsive and helpful. The home does need some things fixed like the disposal and the railings for the stairs and little things like (and I understand they are fixing disposal) that but did not detract from visit at all and would stay here again. And that’s why I still give it a 5 star review.

We stayed for a long weekend to ski at Sugar Mountain and absolutely loved Fabby's place. This is NOT a 5-star place, rather a perfect 10! This was the cleanest airbandb we've ever stayed at, and it was also a perfect setting/decor for the area - rustic condo. King-size bed was so comfortable. Just keep in mind, you do have to be in shape to walk down steps and then a slight hilly incline to get to the ski slopes - it takes about 10 mins. (slow-go in ski boots), but it was no issue for us. Fabby left us a bottle of wine, and the amenities were just about everything we ever need - straws, sugar, tea, coffee, biscotti, ice cubes in the freezer, water in the frig - then the bathroom had hand soap and a bar of Dove, shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. Pocket size tissues, and 1st aid kit. Just show up, kick your feet up, and relax! The view of the mountains were breathtaking. If we return this summer to hike, this will be our 1st choice!
