King Ludwig's Old Neighbour

Welcome to the house of my childhood memories. It is located right below the castles of Neuschwanstein and Hohenschwangau, surrounded by lakes and mountains. Inspired by the contrast between heritage and sharing economies, the designer Michl Sommer and his team of featuring-amsterdam have created this microcosm inside the traditional neighbourhood of Hohenschwangau. The 180 sqm living area provides generous space, and the 1'400 sqm garden is large enough for football games.

Built in 1904, the remise was not used for almost four decades and we decided to renovate it from scratch in 2020. The transformation into a spacious residential unit with two bedrooms, an open kitchen and a spacious bathroom in the middle of the village center of a rural community. The charming house offers plenty of space, is spacious, cozy, warm and clean, is located in the middle of the Alps and is an ideal starting point for many activities such as skiing, hiking, climbing, biking, city tours... A huge well-kept garden with horizontal bars, swing and slackline make the stay a pure nature experience! Schönwies is a small, quiet place with 2 grocery stores, a train station, close to a shopping center, cinema, etc.

The small apartment is located on the first floor of my grandparents' artisan house. She was the workshop of the Lederhosenmacher Melder in Füssen. She's something for lovers of ancient, quaint walls. The apartment is just outside Füssen on a slope up to the city wall. In a few minutes walk you are in the middle of the old town with its busy hustle and bustle or in the picturesque mountain landscape of the Ostallgäus.

The large terrace and a private garden invite you to linger. In the village itself there are shops, restaurants and cafes. Innsbruck, Munich and Augsburg can be reached in about an hour. In winter, you are only 30 minutes away from two different ski resorts and the fireplace provides cozy warmth in the dining area and living room. With a great deal of care, we have transformed a former alpine hut into a small refuge for - up to 4 adults and - Up to 4 children created. A lot of wood, glass, stone and passion were processed here down to the smallest detail and you can breathe completely undisturbed here and leave everyday life behind you.
