Holiday rentals with lake access in Howe Sound

My husband and I wanted a cozy idyllic place for a getaway. Jenny's place is beautiful, well taken care of, clean, and has lots to offer. Everything is clean and tidy. The hottub and real fire pit were cozy. The deck was lovely to spend time on while chatting, playing a card game, or drinking coffee with the propane fire pit in the morning. It has huge variety of seating arrangements outdoors which makes it very homey. We were entertained by two hummingbirds who enjoyed zipping back and forth to the feeder by the porch. It made for a relaxing time. Walking through a couple of local trails through the moss forest beside the river was the true definition of forest bathing. Just incredible. We would 10/10 recommend this to friends and family. We hope to return in the near future!

The cabin of your childhood dreams…sit back, relax, enjoy the lake and connect with family/friends. North Lake has fabulous swimming and almost no bugs. The cabin has a lovely view and lots of different areas to sleep. Lynne was a great host, very attentive and communicative. We had a lovely time, thanks Lynne.

We had a wonderful stay on Bowen Island. The house is beautiful, with everything you could want. The garden and deck are perfect and our girls loved playing in nature. The location is ideal, within walking distance of Snug Cove but set back enough to feel a world away.

Lovely place. So nice and quiet. Easy check in and great host who checked I was ok frequently. Would recommend staying here.

We really enjoyed our stay at Darren's place. The cottage is well equipped with everything you might need yet uncluttered and very cozy and peaceful. We enjoyed exploring the area with Ruby Lake and hiking trails close-by. Darren was a great host and quick to reply to any questions we had. Very highly recommended and we would definitely stay again.

Most wholesome wonderful stay! Beautiful home with lots of relaxing space. The other downstairs airbnb guests were lovely and chill with us using the shared hot tub. And of course all the adorable little animals made it an entertaining stay.

The place was nice and clean, had everything we needed. Kim & Richard were very friendly and responsive. I had a great time!

The apartment was spacious, welcoming, and spotless – with lovely, thoughtful extras: ample cosy blankets and towels; an amazingly well-appointed kitchen, including a Keurig with pods; an umbrella, iron, and hairdryer; and toiletries! While it was 100% private in the sense that I never ran into anyone during my week-plus stay, you're definitely able to hear your host family living their (engaged and active) lives throughout the day – something to keep in mind, if total silence and solitude are of utmost importance to you. The nights were completely quiet, to be clear! You're a stone's throw from the beach and a long, beautiful hike around Westwood lake; a 1km-ish walk from a coffee shop, pub, and liquor store; and the area is super safe (I felt comfortable walking home alone from my training venue after 9:00pm every night). Danielle was incredibly warm, accommodating, and responsive on every front – going above-and-beyond by receiving a package for me and allowing for a late check-out!

We loved this amazing view home in Nanaimo. It is comfortable and extremely clean. Brian is a wonderful host, very welcoming and helpful. He has gone the extra mile to make your stay memorable by having so many extras available for your enjoyment like kayaks, crab traps and even extra shoes! The home has an incredible view and water access that offers a beautiful place to relax each day. We saw orcas, humpbacks, and otters from the deck! My 4 yr old grandson loved watching the ferries and float planes. Nanaimo was so fun. We are planning on coming back and definitely want to stay at this home again.
