Located in what was once a large animal pen, the site is fenced in and is perfect for anyone traveling with dogs. Grape vines grow throughout the space. The property sits on 203 mountainside acres with 100+ buildings and old animal shelters, 3.5 miles of paved pathways and remnants of the abandoned zoo still in tact. A perfect getaway or adventure for friends, couples or small families! This listing is for one of 4 raised platform tents, located at the top of a hill, with a beautiful view. The tent has 1 queen bed, a set of shelves and drawers for storage, and front porch to relax on. There is a fire pit, outhouses, outdoor showers (cold only!), trails woods to roam, and stream to wade in. Bring your groceries - there is a fully equipped outdoor kitchen with grills, fridges, and all the necessities!

Steady Slope Hummingbird (Fully Supported Site)

Please note we do not allow guests in the tent to check in after dark; giving a good orientation to the property in the dark is very difficult. We will do our best to accommodate your schedule! We're keeping this site open week-to-week weather dependent. There is no wood stove in this tent. Please see our other listing, the Hermit Thrush for a wood stove in the tent. The tent will be furnished with a small propane heater which is adequate when ambient temperatures are not too low.

Forest Stay - North Nest Camp

North Nest Camp is a private retreat tucked deep into 40 lush mountain acres, surrounded by forest and wildlife — yet just minutes from Cooperstown, Glimmerglass Lake, and Ommegang Brewery. This is the perfect place to unplug, and immerse yourself in nature. Wander the private hiking trails, sway in the hammock beneath the trees, or simply listen to the sounds of the forest. Your campsite is fully equipped, North Nest camp offers peaceful seclusion with easy access to everything.

Screenhouse on the side of the West Canada Creek. Please note this is a 1000 foot walk from your vehicle unless you have a 4wd or all wheel drive vehicle. Site includes a 10 ft by 10 ft screenhouse, picnic table, and outhouse, fire pit, 2 chairs, but no bed. Have 115 acres of farm to explore along the creek, swim in the creek, bring your kayak, tube down the river, or fish for trout in the creek. Please note the river can get busy in the summer on weekends with tubers.

At the edge of a wildflower meadow with mountain views, this beautifully furnished glamping tent has a king-size water bed, sofa and private deck. Each tent has a kitchenette in the Lodge. There is a lovely Bath House. Enjoy wood-fired pizza (most but not all nights in the summer) and our wood hot tub ($25 for a private experience). 40 acres of meadows, woods, pond, streams and trails. Nightly bonfires, star gazing, a nearby lake and rafting in the Hudson River below.

You have access to a private outhouse with composting toilet & outdoor shower on-site, and a conventional shared bathroom if you preferred. We are an LGBTQ+ inclusive space.
