“It’s an amazing stay at Ricky’s place. It is quiet and undisturbed, at the top of a small hill; surrounded by nature’s sounds. The environment couldn’t be better - deer, turkeys and bunnies were spotted! The inside decoration is modern, with many USB chargers, two TVs, a large work desk and a comfy bed. We couldn’t ask for more! The host is super communicative and friendly. The WiFi broke one day (carrier issue) and Ricky went to town in the morning to find a 4G hotspot solution for us! They have a very cute and smart lab Roxie! We played with her every day. She brought us much joy during our stay.”
Rustic but spacious cabin on eight acres of land, with creek and pond in the back.
“A private cabin near the end of a gravel road. Not often you can rent in a family owned hollow in the hills.. everyone that passed by was very friendly! The cabin was very clean with all basic necessities... the fireplace was gorgeous! Cool breezes at night with no need for fans.. but they are available. Mark and Mary responded to all our questions promptly. We loved the location near many trails.. we went hiking to Linville Falls and Elk Park Falls.. Grandfather Mountain can be easily seen from the lane. Definitely will return to this Airbnb gem!”
Enjoy the beauty and peacefulness of the Blue Ridge Mountains from this homey cottage on the Blue Ridge Parkway (mile marker 334). At a cool elevation of 3,500 feet there is always a lovely cool breeze. Private in every way. Fine dining and bar within walking distance.
“Perfect location right off the parkway and near great hiking. The cottage is super cozy and has everything you need. Immaculately clean and tastefully decorated. We enjoyed the private deck for coffee in the morning and cocktails in the evening (for which Bob supplied us fresh ice every night). And if you’re up for it, you can walk to a pub or restaurant just down the street - they have carry-out and also outdoor dining, although we chose to eat in at the cottage.”
