Holiday rentals with beach access in Kansai

We needed a place for six people and wanted to see the Wedded Rocks / Meoto Iwa. This for the bill! Hiro-san gave us a weather warning and, sure enough, there was a lot of rain. It was nice to have a warm place to stay after a very wet walk to the rocks. Hiro-san messaged promptly and was very responsive about checkon timing. We didn't have many questions, but I think he would've been great at that, too. FYI that the local restaurants are mostly family owned, so it is nice to call ahead if you can, especially in bad weather. If you need a place for a group stay, this one works well.

Great stay in Shirahama! The location is perfect, just a short walk to local restaurants and Shirahama Beach. The self check-in was smooth and hassle-free. The place was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped. The host was responsive and helpful throughout our stay. Highly recommended!

The place was impeccable. the termal bath was such a great experience. The host was very helpful, responsive, and flexible. I wished I could have stayed longer to enjoy the house and surroundings.

It was very beautiful and good.I enjoyed the sightseeing spots because it was just a short drive away!The hill to the inn was amazing, so I was scared to drive.💦 Lol

It's great, especially with a natural hot spring♨️ pushing the windows up close to the sea, it's so wonderful... the queen bed is also comfortable😌 If you have the opportunity to come to Shirahama, you will continue to stay here!

I really enjoyed my stay. Tetsuya-san was very responsive—he picked me up from the station, showed me around some beautiful places, and was kind enough to drop me off at the supermarket to shop. The house was lovely, clean, comfortable, and cozy. The kitchen was well-equipped, and overall, I had a wonderful stay. Thank you very much!

We had a great stay at takamichi’s place! We visited during GOLDEN WEEK in may, which is the peak season in Japan. The house is located along the seaside, next to a sea view cafe also run by host takamichi. It was One of the best traditional houses we ever stayed in Japan. Bedroom is in tatami fudon style, my favourite thing is that there is a big kitchen with plenty of equipments / appliances to facilitate self cooking. super recommended for introvert travellers! By the time we visited Shodoshima some restaurants are unfortunately not welcoming non-Japanese speakers. (Singular case) There is a small supermarket by 15 mins walking distance, where you can find local fresh vegetables and shodoshima “somen”. We made ourselves a pot of “nabe” (Japanese style hotpot) with the fresh goods we found on the island. Yummy! Takamichi san is a friendly host who gives clear instructions and great amount of space for guests. He also set up a eco-friendly soil-based food waste recycling system.

It was very nice to be able to get to the sea and have a barbecue!! Oil, soy sauce, salt and pepper were prepared. Thank you very much.

The place looks better than the photos and is beyond our expectation. We all enjoyed the stay! Hot pot stove and pot will be provided upon request, we had shabu shabu during the cold winter night which is awesome! The place is spotlessly clean. Everything is great. The sun rise view from the room is spectacular.

The room is spacious enough, and the hot springs are not bad, so I think it's this price.Perfect for staying at a hot spring ryokan without meals.I just wanted an elevator.The room seemed to still be available, so I wanted to be guided to the first floor instead of the 3rd floor.

We stayed for over a month and liked it a lot. Kids friendly. It is what the description says. Nothing fancy. It does have a decent onsen. The bedroom was larger than expected for Japan. The surrounding area where the hotel was looks somewhat abandoned and far from the main attractions of shirahama, but it was very immersed in nature in comparison to other options. We can definitely see ourselves booking again here.

I stayed for one night, but I wanted to stay a little longer! It is a place where you can relax. The location is great with a panoramic view of Shirahama Beach! If I get another chance, I want to use it!

The facility feels like a retreat and is old, but it is well cleaned.Also, the bath was very good with the source.
