Holiday rentals with breakfast in Kansai

Kyoko was a fantastic host, who even met us at the door before arrival to allow us to put our bags in early! She provided lots of local recommendations, had a beautiful space, and even provided us food and other snacks! It is in a great location, 15 min from Nara Park and 5 minutes to Nara Station (if train noises keep you up, be sure to bring earplugs!) and I cannot say enough great things about this stay!

We loved our stay. It is right by everything. It is a quiet neighborhood even though it is so close to station. We had everything we needed to enjoy our vacation. Thank you Sakae!! :)

The boss was very nice to pick us up at the station, the homestay Japanese-style countryside was very cozy, very clean, kind like going home!Mornings in the Japanese countryside and completely away from the hustle and bustle of the city.

Tadashi and Hideyo Sano are the kindest hosts you'll ever meet. We loved our stay at Yugetsu. From the idyllic setting on a hill with a breathtaking view, the best breakfasts we've ever had anywhere, a playroom set up for our 8 month old grand son, a stocked fridge with drinks and snacks, to itinerary or restaurant suggestions plus any help needed to make our vacation most enjoyable, Yugetsu is unparalleled. Our stay at Yamashita’s beautiful 100-year-old Japanese villa in Kyoto was the perfect way to end our 2 week vacation in Japan. The house is spacious, very clean, and well-equipped, perfect for our group of 12. It has everything you need and more. It has a serene garden, jacuzzi, and sauna—the kids especially loved the jacuzzi! Yamashita is an EXCEPTIONAL host—very warm, helpful, and accommodating. She drove us to supermarkets and places we wanted to go and even picked us up for a small fee. She prepared simple yet delicious breakfasts. She was quick to respond to messages and even guided us on using local buses. Though the house is a bit far from the touristy areas, the peace and quiet of Yamashita’s home made it the perfect retreat. It offered a more authentic and relaxing experience of Japan. I highly recommend Yamashita’s villa to anyone looking for comfort, culture, and outstanding hospitality. And to anyone looking for a truly memorable stay in a traditional Japanese home.

The place was very spacious! It was enough for 4 people to stay, and since there is also a second floor, it's big enough for 2-3 families to stay. The bathroom in the accommodation is tidy and the internal facilities are good. I also enjoyed the snacks you provided.🤤 The location is about a 15-minute walk from Kyoto Station, so it's easy to access! However, It's right next to the railroad, so there's noise every time the train passes by. The host is really friendly and responsive. I arrived at Kyoto Station earlier than the check-in time, but they helped me check in early😁 Jabing Doctor 100%👍👍

Comfortable, clean and with lots of charm ( a beautiful mix of modern and Japanese style). In the residence there was another apartment which is convenient if you are traveling with another family (which was our case). The accommodation is well located, close to public transport. There's a beautiful temple nearby.

Kuniko's place was amazing in so many levels. She made breakfast with love every day. The apartment is spacious and clean, with nice touches like the smart toalet and the washing machine. The tatami was surprisingly comfortable we had the best sleeps while being in Japan. We really liked the neighborhood too, with it's friendly streets and the close metro stations. I would really recommend Kuniko's place, 10/10.

The place was impeccable, everything was fine when we arrived! Communication with the host was super fast. Just the alley with horn noises at night a little disturbing but nothing more. For the price it's WELL worth it! 👍

The host was absolutely outstanding. The atmosphere was always friendly and welcoming. The location was perfect for me since I was attending a conference at the international conference centre (20 minute walk). The facilities were excellent for the price.

Grateful to have a chat with grandpa, Grandpa's English was really nice and much better than us.Want to stay at Grampa's place all the time.And I think Grandpa should open a restaurant.Grandpa's meal is really the best few I eat in Japan.Udon noodles are so good, love, I should steal my grandfather's secret recipe.Hope you can eat it again!!Grandpa taught us to say "go" ha ha ha ha ha.

We stayed at four airBnb‘s in Japan and all have their good points, but this was by far the best. Located in a quiet suburb so not walking distance to the main sites of Kyoto, but with some lovely sites that we would not have seen otherwise Close by. It was as simple Uber ride or train ride to get into Kyoto for main sightseeing and it was lovely to come home to a quiet un bustling local with a wide choice of excellent restaurants to choose among. The apartment itself is spacious, by far the most spacious we stayed in And it’s part of a an apartment complex which has a small gym. Nori and Fumi even served us breakfast all three days we were there in another upstairs breakfast room. To top it off, they picked this up and dropped us off at this train station three days later. All in all it was a really welcoming and comfortable place to stay, well worth the price we paid

Stayed here for a second time. Great place, feels spacious and has everything you need. It's quiet but also not far from anything you'd want to do in the area. Definitely recommend this place. Amazing hosts, easy instructions and comfortable space.

Clean apartment with great amenities. Close access to two train lines makes getting around very easy.

Yuya san was very hospitable to us,He is a great host!His house is full of cultural atmosphere, large and clean. The plants in the garden are lush and healthy. I highly recommend you to experience his house and appreciate his gardener's craftsmanship. We spent a pleasant time in his house.

Clean and comfortable facilities were provided, and the breakfast made by the friendly couple every morning was warmer and tastier than any Japanese home-cooked meal. This place is beautiful, peaceful and close to nature. Miyuki is easy to communicate with and responsive. The place is super nice, very clean and neat. The breakfast is simple yet very very homey and delicious. We wish we stayed much longer here. Locationwise is near the Gojo city so plenty of big supermarket, restaurants, etc. Recommended to drive so can explore this area better. We live the peaceful morning walk around the house. Thank you sooo much, Miyuki! Hope will be back here again in the future.

Albeit brief, this was my favorite stay of my entire Japan trip. The hosts were incredibly friendly and always proactive in making sure we felt at home not just in our accommodation but also in Kyoto and the lovely and peaceful neighborhood the townhome resides in. They made sure to follow up every question we had and made sure we were able to travel and make our next destination smoothly. We had some stressful travel beforehand, but they were extremely flexible in made our trip much easier. Also their cute daily breakfast was delicious and every single room had so much personality. It has a shared common space and bathroom but it never felt inconvenient and also allows you to get a one of a kind experience in Kyoto. The price was also incredibly reasonable and a great value. I look forward to returning next time I’m in town!

This was the best stay of our trip! The home was warm and welcoming. Chris was an excellent host; attentive, full of suggestions and recommendations, and very helpful with every request we had. It felt like we had an insider connection to this city. Big thank you!
