Underground Hobbit Home in the deep forest

Our custom-built Hobbit Home is nestled under the forest floor on a 10 acre site. A bench swing adorns the hillside along the huge boulder fire pit and outdoor picnic area. The inside of the 185 sq.ft. structure is one-of-a-kind, with a Poplar tree bark ceiling, wavy cedar walls, and a wood cookie wall. A queen sized bed with linens and pillows comfortably sleeps two, and a comfy pull out couch can sleep two children under 12 or one teen or adult. A wood stove makes it cozy in the cold months.

This Tiny Home is truly unique and very cool! The 2 story space combines rustic barnwood with a sleek, modern kitchen, full bathroom, and it’s just a 5-minute walk to the beach. Enjoy Lake MIchigan sunsets from the concrete stamped patio and relax under the stars in the privacy of the hot tub. The Suite is a cozy place to rest from your travels or stay while you visit family/friends. Away from the bustle of downtown, yet only a 10 minute drive to all the venues in the Grand Rapids downtown area. It’s a small but well stocked suite , self contained space in the front of our home. Tanger Outlet is 1 mile away for convenient shopping. There are a number of restaurants close to choose from. Continental breakfast provided ( plant based) hot/cold cereal, bread, fruit, coffee bar.
