Holiday rentals with a fire pit in La Alpujarra

The house is beautiful, spacious, with different areas to enjoy. The location in the listing is incorrect: took us to a completely different place with the postcode provided: better to look in Google Maps for Cortijo Los Almendros Holiday Home (and go first to Frigiliana the make your way there). View is breathtaking. House is close to a gorgeous white village (Frigiliana) and to beaches etc so super convenient. I am scared of winded roads so the need to go up the mountain was an issue for me but not a problem for others in the group (the drivers luckily!). The pool is not heated and that made it unusable for the adults: important to know if you book the house outside of the summer months. The childrenused it but most of the adults couldn't cope with the water temperature even when it was sunny. Antonio was super helpful and friendly while we were there, we enjoyed our stay and it is ideal for a relaxing, family holiday.

What a lovely place. If you like peace and nature, we recommend this nice cottage. It is a 15-minute drive from Frigliana, however the road is very rural (no paved road). Adtrid had indicated this, so rented some larger car. In terms of hiking, the house is not so challenging,but if you drive a bit it will be fine. Absolutely recommended this cottage. Nicely heated and everything is there. Thank you Astrid for your hospitality.

The apartment is located right next to the ski lift which takes you to the centre of town. The apartment itself is modern clean & provides everything you need for a short stay. The views are stunning from the balcony, especially for sunset. Most importantly the apartment was quiet as you do not have apartments above or below, which was very important to us. Monica was also extremely helpful. :)

We had such a fantastic time at the villa and its wonderful location. The villa was perfect and had everything we needed and would definitely visit again! Hans responded to any questions we had. A barrier of some sort as you exit the drive would reduce anxiety when leaving the villa, but otherwise the views were spectacular!

What a beautiful villa! The views are outstanding, the kitchen/living space and outdoor areas are lovely and very spacious and the kitchen is well equipped for cooking for a large group. The bathrooms and some of the bedrooms were quite dark, but we appreciate that is the design of a house built into the hillside. La Herradura is walking distance with good bars and restaurants, although as others have said it is quite a steep climb back up to the villa, but there is plenty of parking if driving. Great roads and easy access from Malaga, and easy to get into Almuñécar for larger supermarkets, buses etc. We recommend a day trip to Granada as it is only an hour away, and beautiful. Communication was excellent from start to finish, and Rachel was very responsive and helpful when we were there. A minor issue with the cooker was resolved promptly. We would highly recommend and would not hesitate to return.

The villa has absolutely stunning views of the bay. A car is essential especially if you have children with you. The villa is in need of updating/replacing in areas (shower screens, parasols, kettle ) which didn’t detract from our brilliant stay but are small things that would enhance the experience and initial thoughts of the villa given it is in the “luxury” price bracket. The host was very helpful with local recommendations and communication over all

The owner is very friendly and always attentive to everything. The house is just like the photos, spacious, comfortable and nice. I have no complaints, we loved it. It's also very close to the beach, the beach is literally behind the development. You can also walk to a boulevard where there are several restaurants, very comfortable, it is also 1-2 hours from Almería and close to Cabo de Gata and its villages about 30-40 minutes away. We thought the recommended location was great. Thank you very much

We stayed at Tom and Carmen’s for our honeymoon, and we couldn’t have dreamed up a more magical place to mark the occasion. From the moment we arrived, it felt like we had stepped back in time — the house is steeped in history but also clearly infused with Tom and Carmen’s artistic vision and care. You can feel how much love and thought has gone into making this house a home. There’s an almost otherworldly ambience here — we found it hard to tear ourselves away because we were so content discovering the little nooks and corners of the house. The steam room was a wonderful luxury, and on our second morning, we were gleefully woken up by a shepherd and his flock in the meadow just outside — including a newborn lamb nursing right in front of us! This house and town captured our hearts. It was the perfect place to begin our marriage, and we found ourselves fantasizing daily about moving to Atalbeitar full time.

Loved our stay. The view from the balcony is beautiful, the accommodation is very nice, everything is in good taste. Silvana is always there to help us in case of need and she is really adorable. We recommend this place.

A fantastic place in a peaceful area, just a short walk from the sea. The view from the house and balcony was wonderfully serene. We stayed here for four weeks while working remotely, and the internet was reliable. The kitchen is modern, the bathroom well-appointed, and there are plenty of beach essentials, including chairs and an umbrella.

Perfect apartment (very clean with excellent communication with owner) to enjoy and dream of escaping a Chicago winter. The area has a very basic grocery store however a Lidel supermarket is in Motril accessible by bus vs driving. The beach bar Hoyo 19 is a Go To for breakfast, beverages plus meals. Excellent seafront walkway combo of natural and modern. I would definitely recommend.

José Antonio's house is worth it, it has beautiful views and its situation allows you to move around the coast.

We had a great stay. Robert was an excellent host — communication was clear and detailed. He sent lots of helpful information before we arrived and made check-in very easy. The apartment was clean, well furnished, and had an amazing view of the coastline. Would definitely stay again.

wow, really special place. looks better than in the pictures. absoulte quite and peace. make aure to shop at the supermarket before you come so you can immerse fully and not need to leave

A clean and cozy place, we were very comfortable during the stay, we would go back without a doubt.

the accommodation as shown in the photos , the truth is that it is very good to spend a few days. It has a small pool that is fine but there are always people. The views are beautiful but you need the car for everything , but in just over 10min you are in roquetas or Almería. the attentive landlord, we had a problem resulting from the chance with the door and no sticks to fix it almost immediately. Very good value for money, recommendable
