Holiday rentals with lake access in Lake Biwa

A great place to stay at when you want to visit the surrounding region! The interior design is beautiful, and I felt safe and welcome in the house. There is much to see and do in the region, but not an overwhelming amount, so you can take your time. Plenty of history and religious sites to admire. It was a very calming stay. The host is wonderful! Very responsive and kind.

My second time here... Not the last one I hope! One of my favorite places in the world. Although the weather was bad, we had a really good time here me and my son. The house is really nice, and big. Yes I will come back next year!

Beautiful house, would like to stay again.

Large cars may be difficult... (the host will guide you to the accommodation, so you can rest assured) It was a very satisfying place to stay with a very beautiful garden, an open-air bath, a sauna, and a well-organized barbecue space! Breakfast (such as bread and pudding) is also provided, which is very appreciated!

My family stayed here one night for a ‘seichi junrei’ to Toyosato. To say the least, airbnb was darling. It’s one of the coziest places I’ve ever stayed. The place was much bigger than it appeared on the outside. First bedroom (2 beds) was to the right of a small foyer. Second sleeping room was in the dining area. Had a couch style futon, coffee table and generous tv. All you had to do was move the table and grab a secondary mattress and bedding from the closet. Place had heat but the provided blankets were adequate. Bathroom was exquisite—huge tub. Immaculate. One of our party said it was their favorite tub. Kitchenette had all the normal amenities—tableware in the dining room cabinet. We didn’t take advantage of the washer. Hikone itself was very sleepy on a Monday/Tuesday in March. It was cold and rainy but that didn’t distract us from enjoying the town. Do go to Hikone castle while here! If you’re in Hikone and want to stay somewhere special… think cottage core. Stay here

We stayed at this Kyo-Machiya (町家) for 3 nights in the middle of March. Even weather was a bit on the cold and rainy side, but overall we enjoyed everything! The place is really very beautiful, cozy and private. It offers a lot of space for two people, but would definitely fit 4-5. Air-cons is used for heating and it worked really fast as it is an old wooden house. We enjoyed japanese style bath and breakfast in the main tatami area. Although 3 days for Kyoto is a bit short, we highly recommend this place for the ones seeking privacy and not afraid to spend some time in the bus or local trains, which are more convenient compared to the buses, but you need to walk a bit more from the place to the station and the bus stops right on the corner. There is also a very good local ramen restaurant which we recommend if you arrive later in the evening. Convenience stores are also quite close to the house.

Everything is great!

Beautiful accommodation with lots of space. They had lots of different amenities that made our stay comfortable and easy. Communication with the host was very easy and she had great recommendations for the area. The area was perfect for those wanting to explore Dotonbori area, because of the great location it is quite noisy at night. Although it doesn’t last all night

we had a good stay in Takaki's apartment, near Dotonbori street. Takaki was super responsive and helped us a lot during our entry following a problem we had. The apartment corresponded to the photo and was clean and well equipped. good stay I recommend!

Very spacious and cute decore! Loved the traditional tatami rooms! Super central in the action of dotonbori! A sanctuary in the midst of chaos! We stayed on the 4th floor and with ear plugs we slept well.

Perfect apartment in Dotonbori with great view of the river walk. The location is excellent, with easy access to the very popular Dotonbori area (the front door is right on Dotonbori street!). The room itself is very well-kept, greatly furnished, with great amenities. The host was very responsive and easy to communicate with. The check-in process was easy, and even flexible with options for storing bags when we arrived early. We would definitely stay here again!

Location was short distance from the station & quiet, with lots of things to see and restaurants to eat in. Room itself was perfect for us 2, even staying for 5 nights, very clean & had everything we needed. Host was super friendly and even gave a great restaurant recommendation which we really enjoyed! Transportation is very convenient, and Osaka castle Park Station is just four or five minutes away.The room is very private and suitable for families and friends traveling.Nice clean room, actually the room is better than on the picture😂, the host is very responsive.If you come to the cherry blossom season, this homestay is too suitable, and you will stay again the next time you come to cherry blossom season.

We had a wonderful time with a beautiful view very close to Lake Biwa.
