Cottage holiday rentals in Lexington

We loved our short stay at this beautiful lakefront vacation home. It was quiet and peaceful, and it has a lovely scenic view of the lake as soon as you drive up. It definitely exceeded our expectations. We would gladly stay here again.

Rachel‘s adventure cottage was the best place for a Valentines getaway! It was peaceful, it was private, and had great hiking opportunities. The hot tub at the end of the day was definitely the cherry on top. One thing to be wary of is coming during the rainy season. We came during late winter so as the snow was melting it was also raining which flooded the incoming roads. Regardless of the little hiccup on our trip, we brought enough groceries so we made the most of it!

My family and I loved the place; the house was very cozy. Our expectations were very high since the stay was a surprise for my husband, and he loved it. Communication with the owner was excellent; he was attentive to everything, and we appreciate it. We would definitely come back. It's so beautiful that you can do so many things. I recommend taking several days to fully enjoy it. I highly recommend it.

It was a wonderful location quite peaceful but also not super far from shopping or restaurants the whole place was super cute aswell

We had a great weekend getaway at Colton’s place! The house was beautiful and so so cozy! We enjoyed walking around the property and sitting by the lake. The dogs loved the enclosed back porch and it was great they could spend time with us outside, the enjoyed watching the deer wander around the property! Thanks for having us, Colton, we’ll be sure to pop in again! :)

My husband and I spent a long weekend getaway at this place - so incredibly beautiful. We hiked nearby during the day and at night cooked dinner at the house and chilled in the hot tub, what a special treat. I highly recommend staying here! It’s homey, warm, and very cozy. There are lots of little features or commodities that make the stay extra convenient, like olive oil & basic spices in the cabinets or a couple choices of coffee for the morning. Personally, small details like that make a big difference. Scott was communicative and helpful throughout as well, but also allowed us our privacy. The property is stunning with the mountains as the backdrop. I would love to return sometime soon!!

We loved it! The drive in was beautiful. The roads are paved which was a plus. You lose signal about 20 mins from actually getting there. However, if you just keep google maps on you shouldn’t have a problem. The WiFi in the house worked great for us. The hot tub was wonderful and we used to grill once which was also very nice. They left a smores kit for us and some firewood which was very helpful the first night and a nice treat! There’s a lot of great hikes, breweries and wineries in the area. We would definitely love to come back and stay again if we get the chance! 10/10 stay😊

Had everything we needed and more. Close to Douthat State Park. We would definitely come and stay again.

Hands down one of the coziest Airbnbs I’ve ever stayed in. It was even cuter in person than the photos! The cottage is in what seems to be a rapidly developing part of Waynesboro that will soon have many walkable places to go. Even now, the location cannot be beat since it’s a super short drive to everything in the area. The Airbnb is exactly as described with all of the amenities, including a ton of dog stuff and a very comfortable couch. I would recommend this place to anyone!

Terrific location and very quiet, private location. The cottage is adorably quirky (or quirkily adorable?) with lots of fun pieces of art. The framed photos of doggies in the kitchen were our favorite! Small bathroom but had everything we needed. Beds and linens were incredibly comfortable and the entire space was well maintained and spacious for a small cottage. Eli was communicative and helpful. Would definitely stay again!

This was a perfect place for a peaceful getaway. The fireplace was a treat, and we had a very cozy stay. It's hard to add to what other reviewers have already said, but here is one detail: on a winter's night, when the moon is down and the sky is clear, the stars are fantastic! Because there is no nearby light pollution, the view from the deck of the night sky is deep and brilliant.

Wonderful cottage in a great location for outdoor activity and visiting Roanoke. The cottage was comfortable with lots of games, puzzles and books available for entertainment. If you like to cook, the kitchen was very well stocked with great spices and any cookware that you need. The Outdoor space - the front porch and the back patio - was awesome!

What a wonderful get away! Our family stayed here about 2 years ago and had such a wonderful time. We couldn't wait to get back and it didn't disappoint! We had a wonderful stay and weather was great. Such a wonderful peaceful place. We always feel right at home. Craigs Creek is such a beautiful clean creek. We enjoyed fishing, kayaking, canoeing and just hanging out in the water. Definitely will be back again. So thankful this host shares and blesses others by offering their place to others. For being where it is, Wi-Fi/internet works great and there is even a landline! Thanks again

Fabulous setting with Old World charm! I loved my stay at Rhonda’s villa. Perfect space for me and my pup as I traveled for work. Super comfortable bed, pillows and awesome linens! Rhonda had so many thoughtful touches-special treats for me and my dog. Fresh ground coffee and muffins:-) checked in on Mocha for me during the day-so helpful and friendly and available when I. Needed it! We will be staying as much as possible on future work trips!

My husband and I had a wonderful stay at Cynthia's home. The recent remodel made the entire house feel brand new, and everything was spotless. The kitchen had all the essentials we needed for cooking, and we even liked one of the pans so much that we bought the same one! The bed was incredibly comfortable, allowing us to sleep in longer than usual. The living room was the perfect spot to relax after our days of exploring Charlottesville and Richmond. The location was also very convenient, with everything we wanted to do just a short drive away. We're already looking forward to returning in the spring to enjoy the lovely yard!

Anne's place was so welcoming and comfortable. She really has thought of everything! Her amenities list was extensive and so helpful. We were traveling with children, and she had so many comforts of home that made our stay easy. Anne was kind and helpful. The home was clean and tidy. You can hear the creek water running and the frogs singing. Overall, a wonderful experience! Would definitely stay again!
