Pet-friendly holiday rentals in Litchfield County

We had a fantastic 2-night stay at Jim’s beautiful old home. So clean, so thoughtful & tasteful decorated. Great first sunny day for biking & hiking on Harlem Valley Rail Trail and close to restaurants in town. But also great second day when caught in snowstorm. Jim’s house is warm, cozy, comfortable, perfect for a day to relax, read, watch movies, cook, and enjoy the beautiful view. Thank you and we will certainly come back.

A truly exceptional home with lots to offer. Very out of the way, great for relaxing. Tons of space, with two living rooms, a large dining room, a large screened in porch, a deck, and two kitchens, one of which is fully stocked! The bedrooms were nice, and the decor was very unique and fun to find. Overall, could not have asked for a better place for a weekend getaway with friends.

It is my second home in NEW MILFORD Connecticut most of the time if I visit Connecticut, I love to stay this place specially Erin she is the best personality I have ever made in my Airbnb stay.

The Lake house had stunning views, was cozy, comfortable and the perfect place for our family to stay. We loved the layout and enjoyed the lake view through the windows. We would love to come back.

Very nice house with lots of room to spread out. The tv room was our favorite. Clean bathrooms and comfortable beds. The location is not far from grocery store, hiking and wineries. It snowed the night before we left and we were nervous about going down the steep road but the neighborhood does a great job plowing. We really enjoyed our stay!

Staying at Amanda and Andrew’s place in Canaan, CT is an exceptional airbnb experience. The home and property are in excellent condition, exactly as pictured in the airbnb profile . We had an amazing stay here. Such a beautiful home, and so peaceful. It’s very cozy, so we all felt right at home. Spacious, more than enough room for our group of 4. There were games, streaming apps on the tv, plenty to do, though we spent much of the time outside taking in the nature. You can hardly even see the neighboring homes. It’s wonderful. I loved staying here, and absolutely would again. Thank you Angela and Nico!

An absolutely lovely place to stay. In the Goldilocks world it was just right. Not too much, not too little…a truly elegant gem in the woods.

The house is well maintained. It has an unreal view of the lake that is so serene. A very quiet area.

Stayed here for 2 nights with a couple friends. Perfect spot for a quick getaway. Backyard and pool area was exactly what we were looking for with lots of space to lounge and relax. Lots of entertainment if you wanted to just hang inside as well. As some of the other reviewers noted, you can definitely hear the hosts move around upstairs. Didn't impact us too much except for Saturday morning. Was a little difficult to sleep in b/c of the noise.

We had a great stay at Monica’s place in Kent! The house was extremely cozy, clean, and comfortable. Monica was incredibly responsive, making our stay even better. We would definitely come back!

We had a fantastic stay at this home! It had everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxing getaway. The fireplace was a perfect touch—we had a fire going every day, which made the space feel extra cozy. We also loved unwinding in the hot tub, especially after a day of exploring. Another favorite was listening to records on the record player—it added such a fun and nostalgic vibe to our evenings. The wildlife around the property was incredible; we saw so many animals, including a beaver that built an impressive dam right in the backyard! It was such a unique and peaceful experience. We’d absolutely stay here again!

Our 2nd stay at Elizabeth’s house and it was as nice as our last visit. Our kids love exploring the home and property which has a wonderful view. The kitchen is well appointed for cooking. We especially enjoyed the stone fireplace to relax after skiing. Would highly recommend!

This was the second time I stayed at Vicki's gorgeous place. Vicki's is 8 minutes from my sister's house and if all goes well I will always stay at Vicki's when I am visiting as it's such a lovely place and so convenient while giving me and my partner the privacy we want when visiting extended family. Vicki's apartment is cozy and extremely clean and beautifully decorated in a modern/country style that I love.

Incredible house with great amenities. Especially appreciated the well appointed kitchen, as we love to cook. Wish we stayed in warmer weather and could’ve made use of the beautiful outdoor spaces. It’s an old house, which makes it sometimes difficult to feel clean - but this place was spotless. We felt comfortable, relaxed and at home in this space. Taylor was incredibly responsive and fixed a minor issue fast and without disruption! Thanks for a great stay!

Absolutely perfect stay! This cozy, historic home in Woodbury is a true hidden gem. Tucked away on a peaceful, quiet road, it offered a serene escape surrounded by nature. We loved waking up to views of wildlife and the sounds of nature—it felt like our own little private retreat. The owners were warm, welcoming, and ensured we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The charm of the home and its historic touches made it even more special. Highly recommend for anyone seeking tranquility and a memorable stay. Five stars!

I was very pleased at the pet- friendly features of this home away from home. There was lighting throughout the edge of the backyard which allowed me to safely take my dogs out before bedtime. We also took short walks in the neighborhood. The area was very quiet at night and I slept very well. I lived in the same city in a different area for years and had never experienced that level of quiet!

The host is a wonderful lady, I missed a watch worth more than 20,000 dollars in the room when I check out at 10am, she went back to the room at 1pm and returned it to me warmly, the inside of the room is also clean and tidy, the surrounding is very quiet, I will choose this place again next time I have the opportunity👍, thank you Farah!

Jeff is an awesome host! Would love to stay there again. He went above and beyond for our puppy when we were delayed coming back from the airport. He checked on her and made us feel reassured that our puppy was ok. The place is cozy, love the fireplace, and the home is beautiful.

We enjoyed a wonderful stay! Danny was truly amazing! Very responsive and even checked on us during the winter storm to ensure everything was ok. He also had the snow plow come through and do the driveway prior to checkout. The house is amazing and we can’t recommend Danny’s place enough!
