Waterfront holiday rentals in Litchfield County

Several of us just came back from a quick overnight trip to Brookfield, and I cannot recommend this place enough to anyone who is looking for a place to stay in this area of CT. The bottom floor was recently renovated, so the place is really well laid out with plenty of amenities. There is enough to do on property to keep a group of people entertained for a weekend stay if you plan on sticking around the house. The location is incredible, situated in a little nook right on the water with a ton of privacy and a huge backyard. And definitely reach out to Flory in advance as she plenty of recommendations for things to do and where to eat while you're in town. You will have no regrets if you book this place.

Jeanne’s place is an amazing jewel in the desert. If you are looking for tranquility in front of the lake, morning walk and peace to find yourself this is the perfect place. It is huge and you can walk anywhere inside the house and find a place of comfort. Thank you for the hospitality and we felt blessed to be at your home.

Absolutely loved our stay at this Airbnb! The views of the water were breathtaking—perfect for relaxing and enjoying the scenery. It was exactly what we needed for a girls' weekend getaway. The space was cozy and had all the amenities we could ask for. We spent hours on the deck, soaking in the peaceful surroundings. The location was great, with easy access to local attractions and restaurants. Highly recommend this spot for anyone looking for a tranquil escape with stunning views!

We had a wonderful time— I grew up in the area and this place was such a nice place to land, and it reminded me a lot of my friend’s houses back in the 90s. Tons of rustic charm and all the comforts of home. We visited during a snowstorm and the vhs tapes / wood stove were greatly appreciated, also the real plants, classic novels and candles. These touches are hard to find anymore and show great care in the space. Bed was comfortable and the views from the bedroom were gorgeous. Wish we came in summer because the yard seems amazing. Looking forward to coming back!

We had a wonderful stay. It is a fantastic location, looking out over the river, private, and yet easy access to town—definitely walkable. Check in was flexible and the host communicated well, while leaving us in privacy. The pictures are accurate. There is a charming mix of vintage and modern. Will definitely look to stay at this property again.

The Lake house had stunning views, was cozy, comfortable and the perfect place for our family to stay. We loved the layout and enjoyed the lake view through the windows. We would love to come back.

Had a great time in Cornwall, CT. We go away every year with friends for new years, renting a different house every time. This was one of our favorites. Loved the modern yet rustic decor. Bathrooms were beautiful and heated doors throughout. Big table for our expanded crew and puzzles. And very peaceful on the river, close to Mohawk Mt., etc. Great way to ring in 2025! Thanks Elena.
