Holiday rentals with a fire pit in Madison Heights

We really enjoyed staying in this beautifully decorated, comfortable home. The kitchen was well-equipped, everything was spotless, and the location was convenient to restaurants and other local attractions. We would definitely stay here again.

We had such a lovely time at the ‘small house’! Jennifer was quick to respond with any questions we had (about the property and the town)! We loved playing yard games and hanging out by the water. The kitchen was stocked with spices and all the things we needed to spend time together cooking. We plan to visit again in the Winter!

Our family loved our weekend in SML. This was one of the cleanest rentals I have ever stayed in. There was so much space and room to entertain and most importantly seating for everyone. Stephen is a great host. He was extremely responsive. The pictures don’t do Cedar Key Retreat justice. Everything was just perfect.

The Pine Meadow Retreat accommodated us and another couple beautifully, with private spaces and bathrooms for each couple and comfortable shared space, in particular the big kitchen island which easily seats four. The kitchen is spacious, up-to-date, and very well equipped. The setting is beautiful and quiet. We would gladly stay there again.

Great location, a few minutes drive from the bustle of Cville. Well appointed. We had 3 tall adults, and the large couch ended up being more comfortable than the upper bunk for one of us. The other 2 beds were great. Fantastic campfire and hot tub soak. No regrets!

Great cozy spot in Lovingston! Ed was a wonderful host, very responsive and helpful. Despite all the rain we were able to have a lovely weekend getaway. Wineries and restaurant options close by.

Beverly is a fantastic hostess. Not only is the cabin immaculately clean and cozy, it truly feels like it’s your own space. Plenty of fun toys, games, and books to keep kids and adults entertained when spending time in the cabin, though you likely won’t! Her property offers so much outdoor activity. Walks around the property, time spent next to the river and pond, plenty of flowers to admire, and friendly dogs that come and say “hello.” We were lucky and her goats just had kids! Beverly willingly took our child to pet and hold the babies. We loved our stay. Thank you, Beverly!

The apartment is very comfortable and cozy feeling. Beautiful, peaceful surroundings. The kitchen and bathroom were both well stocked with anything we might need. Very nice outdoor sitting and eating area as well. We had such a relaxing time!

This is the second time I have stayed at Anna & Nate’s Airbnb It is close to my daughter, the kitchen has everything I need, and you look out on their beautiful garden. Anna and Nate are friendly and responsive, and you don’t hear much noise from the family upstairs.

We had a wonderful time! The area was great and Bobby made us feel right at home! We would definitely come back again and will recommend this to our friends!

Staying with Mr Jane was a pleasure. The location was perfect, the apartment was cozy and spotless. The place was well-equipped and the beds were surprisingly comfortable. This is a peaceful downstairs apartment with private entry and beautiful backyard with swimming pool. Mrs Jane was always available to answer our questions. unforgettable experience! Highly recommended!" 

Great spot! Hope very much to return. Pros: very nicely appointed cabin. Not luxury but pretty close! Has all the things you need to make an enjoyable stay. Incredibly good access to hiking, both on foot straight from cabin and by taking a short drive. We really enjoyed the bonfire pit and the supply of firewood. We went in the winter and it was nice to get a bit of snow. Would probably be gorgeous bird watching and such in the summer. Really nice to be surrounded by nothing but trees. Felt like we had a whole mountain to ourselves. Cons: I am noise sensitive, and I did find the main cabin to be pretty close quarters. So if you’re like me or are seeking privacy or quiet amongst a loud group of folks, maybe something to think about. Also not the easiest kitchen to make a big meal (no dishwasher, small drying rack) but we definitely made it work for 5 people. Also to note — we had a couple 2WD cars that made it up the hill to the cabin, but we brought them back down hill for snow

We loved our stay at Creekside Cabin! Alicia was great from start to finish. The cabin was so clean and cozy. The kitchen had everything we needed to make meals, there were plenty of games to play/books to read, and comfy beds to sleep in. The property is private and serene and the wrap around porch is the perfect place to get some sun and enjoy the sound of the Creek. Would love to return in the future!

We enjoyed our stay so much. The cabin was cozy and had everything we needed. We enjoyed our coffee in the mornings on the porch listening to the birds and the cows. Walking through the orchards and feeding the goats and donkey was a great surprise. It was the perfect get away to slow down and enjoy some peace and quiet. The recommendations given were perfect as well. We enjoyed dinner at Vito’s and lunch AND dinner at Woodruff’s Cafe & Pies! We will definitely will return!

It was our first stay at this lovely cabin, we are definitely going to come back and stay longer in future. Great location, 7 min of driving from the nearest scenic overlook. We are impressed with details in the cabin, everything is made for comfortable staying! Thanks 😊

We cannot say enough great things about the owners and this beautiful cabin!! If you are thinking about booking, think no more and do it! Not only was it absolutely beautiful on the inside but the area outside of the cabin made us feel like we were in our own sweet world. We saw deer, squirrels, so many birds, it was on the river and it was dreamy. The cabin itself was so fun! To stay in a real log cabin was a bucket list item and it was very pristine. There were wonderfully helpful notes all around to help us out and did I mention it was beautiful?!???

I’d argue that this is one of the best places to stay in Wintergreen. The cabin itself is perfect. We are a young family and it was comfortable, clean, and had everything we needed. The location is also perfect. It is very close to all the attractions on the resort. Clay was a great host as well. The perfect amount of communication; engaged without being intrusive. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants to be sure their trip is easy and successful!

We had a very relaxing and pleasant stay. Would recommend to anyone wanting to unplug and enjoy nature. Lot's to do at the site with walking trails, disc golf and a fire pit.

We had a wonderful stay at this amazing private cabin in the woods. Comfortable, clean, quiet and relaxing - the cabin is thoughtfully modernized and equipped with everything you could need. We thoroughly enjoyed walking the trails, fishing in the river (found smallmouth, pickerel, and bluegill) and relaxing by the firepit. Our dog enjoyed the trip as much as we did, and we never heard or saw another person in three days! Thank you so much for sharing this beautiful private property!
