The bure was a great private getaway in the Yasawas. The room was as photographed, keep in mind it is a simple "resort" so your bathroom is going to be dated/simple compared to standard resorts in the US or elsewhere. The resort will pick you up in a small metal boat, you may want to bring a hard-sided suitcase rather than fabric/soft to avoid things from getting wet if it is raining. The meals were simple, we had one regular and one no-fish diet request and they were able to accommodate us. Most drinks in the "bar" were reasonably priced at $3-4 USD so be sure to bring cash, there is essentially no where else on the island to buy drinks/snacks. The beachfront area had some great snorkeling off to the right, and we would happily visit again. Be sure you bring bug-spray, the bugs are going to find your skin during breakfast and dinner. We just wish there was warm water (the naturally warm water wasn't as warm as we would like for showers, especially getting the bug spray off at night).

TAVEN Homestay was the best part of our trip to Fiji. This isn’t a resort—and that’s exactly why it’s so special. We were constantly amazed by the variety and flavour-the best meals we had in Fiji. No menus or fuss, just real, home-style cooking that was both comforting and exciting. TAVEN may not be a luxury resort, but it doesn’t need to be. The lack of AC and amenities is more than offset by its heart and connection to the people. It’s peaceful, beautiful, and full of meaning—the kind of place that stays with you long after you leave. Highly recommended to anyone looking for an enriching Fijian experience.

Great stay here, perfect location, private beach at the foot of the individual cabins, perfect for swimming at high tide. Family and staff attentive, very present and in exchange, ready to make us discover the Fijian culture. The kava ceremony was great and always the opportunity to taste cocos in every way! Lots of activities on: Caves and fishing trip to enjoy your freshly caught fish! Let's not forget the derisory price per night, so don't be too demanding about the comfort, kindness and generosity of this family is to be respected!
