Taupo and surrounds have so much on offer, and retreating to Marigold Cottage is the perfect retreat at the end of the day.

This is as our second way stay at this house for a mountain biking trip, and we had a a fantastic week. It is modern and has everything we needed during our daily routine of eat, ride, eat, sleep, repeat! Brilliant location right by the redwoods, and lovely friendly hosts right next door and responsive if you need anything. We would absolutely stay here again, and recommend highly to others.

Crystal's place was a wonderful place to stay. Crystal was very responsive and entry was a breeze given her clear instructions. The private home was very clean and well maintained, we felt right at home. We stayed with our two children aged 2yrs and 5yrs and Crystal ensured to check we had everything we needed before we arrived (porta-cot, kids toys etc). We all very much enjoyed our stay at Crystal's and we'll definitely be staying there again if we find ourselves in Taupo. Highly recommended.

Had a wonderful stay at this home, all beds very clean and comfortable. Stunning home decor, was cold this weekend in Taupo but so the heat pump was as handy. House was very clean and kitchen clean. I have two kids so having a washing machine and dryer was very helpful. Genuinely impressed with the house and would recommend booking with them! I will definitely consider booking this house again next time we visit Taupo.

Our party of 7 felt like it was a home away from home. We enjoyed bbqing for dinner and even relaxing at night watching some Netflix. The kitchen was totally stocked to allow us to make meals. One of the nights got cold and the heating worked well to warm everything up. Comfy beds, clean and great space for all of us. Thank you!

Helen was absolutely incredible to deal with, and her house was beautiful. It’s one of those special places where all the little details are thoughtfully taken care of — extra extension cords and plenty of plugs by every bed, cosy electric blankets and lots of extra blankets for chilly nights. The kitchen and bathroom were fully equipped with everything you could possibly need, just like being at home. The location was perfect too — the lounge gets gorgeous sun during the day, and it's only a quick walk to the lake and a 10-minute drive into Taupō town. The supermarket is just a few minutes away, making it super convenient. We had the best time coming together with friends to celebrate a birthday, and Helen’s place was the most perfect setting for it. We couldn't have asked for a better spot!

Perfect spot for a mtbing family trip. The house was clean, stocked with all the amenities which you don't want to have to buy when u go away for a holiday... toilet paper, paper towels, glad wrap, salt, pepper plus more. Nice welcoming chocolate and carton of milk. Great shed for easy storage of bikes. The only negative was the wifi coverage. Only good in the lounge. Bedrooms were a no go. A range extender would sort that out.

We had a wonderful few nights on the edge of the beautiful Redwood forest. The house felt very homely and we loved having the cats hop up for a cuddle on the sofa at night. The kitchen was very functional for meals. Thank you for sharing your home :-)

I really recommend staying at Barb's place, it's got everything you would need for a short or longer stay. There's lots to do in the area and Barb gave some great recommendations and helpful information. As a host Barb is the best I've ever had, fast response time, friendly and very helpful, she really goes above and beyond!
