I have endeavored to create a comfortable space that provides a wonderful base for adventuring. The walls are covered in local art, I love showcasing local artisans. Paintings are reminiscent of Nelson and are for sale. The beautiful king sized bed and live edge wood counters are taken from sustainably harvested trees and created by a local craftsman. The upstairs is spacious and features a wood burning stove. The downstairs is a beautiful grotto bathroom with a sunken tub big enough for two.

The Art Studio downtown

Our Grandpa Max built this eclectic space onto the back of his heritage home in the 1970s as an art studio and woodworking shop. Now we host travelers in this mid-century meets modern Scandi suite. The downtown core is only one block away but the studio is located on a quiet residential street backing on to green-space. Grocery store, coffee shops, restaurants, park with a lookout and the theatre are all within blocks. Perfect for couples, solo adventurers, business travellers and ski bums!

The Caravan

Enjoy a memorable and unique experience in the 'Caravan', a tiny home built on the back of a 1967 International Loadstar. Cozy up and read a book in the spacious loft bed or take a bath in the outdoor tub (May - Oct). Have a romantic getaway, or bring your family of 3 and make use of the twin futon. Walk or ride your bike right out the door on our trails and take in one of the classes or events at For-rest Retreat. Salmo is the perfect place to stay and explore the beauty of the Kootenays.

Enjoy the privacy of our bright, clean studio with queen bed, kitchen, soaker tub/ hand shower, and private, shaded garden patio. Studio has own entrance completely separate from the main house. Centrally located a 2 min walk/bike to Safeway, Starbucks, and a liquor store, with paths just beyond which will take you to Lakeside park as well. Easy and beautiful 12min walk to great shopping and restaurants/pubs in downtown Nelson. This location can't be beat, right in the heart of the city.

Our place is a small, bright and private suite at the back of the house. You have to climb stairs to get to the second floor. The suite is roughly 290 square feet total, including the bathroom. It has a kitchenette. It's perfect for a couple or a couple of friends. It's close to shopping and your favorite coffee shop. The waterfront is an easy 3 blocks away and it takes around 15 minutes to walk downtown. If you smoke this studio is definitely NOT for you..

4Mile Ski Cabin - Discounts 3 nights or more.

This creekfront ski cabin is private & feels secluded yet close to all that Nelson has to offer. A 1 min walk to a sandy beach; 5 min drive to town along the picturesque shoreline of Kootenay Lake; 25-30 min to the ski resort; or 30 min to Ainsworth Hotsprings. Perfect for Kootenay adventures or remote workers (fibre optic internet 1000 Mbps). Additional $50/night for a 3rd guest. Sorry, no pets.
