Beautiful place, nice and quiet, a great break from reality. Sheryn was an incredible host, welcomed me upon arrival and showed me around, and checked on me the following day to see if I needed anything. Everything is just as described - Hobbit hole is cosy and warm!Gorgeous dog and cat who liked to come for evening visits too. Definitely recommend!

Toto's Cottage is simply magical! Beautiful, private location. Sustainable and nestled into nature, with incredible views. Bath under the Moon and stars with a bottle of bubbles was the cherry on the cake. Amazing pizza and coffee down at Toto's Pizzeria ... warm and friendly atmosphere. We loved our stay! Highly Recommend if you're looking for a peaceful getaway in a noisy stunning party of NZ.

The Pumice house is one of the most creative places I’ve stayed on Airbnb. Evan’s tiny house is a perfect balance of design and utility. There was always a fun detail to explore, I especially loved the glass reveal that showed the inner workings of the construction. The house is cozy, with a peaceful fish pond at the front patio that makes it feel secluded from the surrounding neighborhood. The rooms were quite spacious and heated pebble bathroom floor was very nice. Evan was incredibly kind and communicative. He was always available if we had questions and just a really personable guy!

Beautiful yurt high up in the hills. Easily one of the most beautiful and relaxing places I’ve ever slept. The facilities are very basic and the composte toilet is definitely something to consider but the beauty of surrounding areas is a great trade off for this. It can be very misty with no view but when there is a view it is simply heavenly.

Dave was a great host, very responsive and helpful. The spot was quiet and peaceful, making it a nice base for our travels. It worked perfectly for what we needed during our trip

Warm welcome by great couple. Enjoyed the conversations and local knowledge sharing. One of those off grid kinda places that is a bit glamorous in that you have a hot shower (gas califont), outdoor kitchen with gas burner and small gas bbq...The fireplace inside was great. Good instructions on how to enjoy the home, work the water and compost toilet. Having the miniature horses close by during the night was no problem - they were quiet as can be. Situated close to the road in one of the paddocks but very little traffic over the weekend. Some flies, sandflies but hey that is NZ for ya! Loved it - loved the character and hard work that went into it. Great place to relax and recharge. If you want WIFI, tv and a take away - this is not for you. If you love just taking some time out - definitely worth it. Will definitely be back :)

Beautiful spot and comfy, flexible accommodation. No problems with being off the grid. Enjoyed the hot tub.

This was a beautiful place and my wife and I absolutely loved it. I highly recommend to anyone else interested in beautiful private locations but not too far from the town

This place suited us perfectly with rustic and meditative charm. We valued the tranquil private location along with great communication with Saskia. amazing outdoor shower with comfortable bed and warm cozy lounge by the fire. We are looking forward to our next visit.
