This is a mini guest suite finished to a high standard, best for one person, or a couple, as it is a compact space. It is on a bus route, close to Camosun College, UVIC , and St Michaels University School, within walking distance to the Hillside Mall, and close to Mt Tolmie, where there are walking trails and wonderful views of the city. The suite is completely separate from the main house so you will have privacy. Please note, this is a NO smoking space!

What guests are saying:“Anna is an absolutely wonderful host! She is really friendly and easy to approach if have any questions/ need any help. I stayed at her place throughout the school year and have no complaints whatsoever regarding the cleanliness or amenities offered (WiFi was strong/ laundry machines easy to operate). Anna was also very helpful when I needed to extend my stay due to the uncertainty around COVID-19. She cleaned my room biweekly and was thoughtful enough to let me use her dehumidifier when she noticed how stuffy my room was (I was reluctant to open the window regularly due to bugs). The house itself is very central location wise with multiple bus routes within walking distance to/ fro downtown & UVIC. It's also very close to the Royal Jubilee Hospital & BC Cancer if you're doing anything there (I volunteer at BC Cancer and was thrilled to be within walking distance). The grocery store is just down the road too. Some of the major plus points for me apart from the things above were her cat (Shadow) and the electric piano in her living room (great for those with any musical inclinations). Shadow is a rather timid lil' lady at first but she'll eventually get used to you, especially if you pet her regularly :) I'm going to miss her furry face for sure!”

Full kitchen, 4pc bath and lovely living room with TV & wifi. We offer a queen bed in BR and a new queen sofa bed in LR. Enjoy a private deck overlooking a serene private garden. It’s a 7 min. walk to great shopping, pub, Thai and Japanese restaurants, Starbucks, great shops and Cadboro Bay, one of Canada’s best beaches. We are right next to UVIC and it’s major bus lines and a fifteen minute drive to downtown Victoria. We offer secure off street parking.
What guests are saying:“Barry and Jane are superb hosts. The Hillhouse is an amazing location within walking distance to restaurants, coffee shops and UVIC. There is no better place to stay if you are visiting UVIC. The location is very close to UVIC and Cadboro Bay village and beach. The suite was extremely clean and well appointed with a fantastic outdoor seating area. Super comfortable with all the amenities (including a fireplace). Barry and Jane went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed for our stay. Will certainly be back soon.”
