Salamander Chalet

Enjoy the peace, the view and the comfort of this stylish chalet. Very suitable as a romantic getaway or relaxing in nature with your family. We are at 650 meters altitude, in a hot summer it is always a little cooler than in the valley and with a breeze, very pleasant. At night, the lake cools down and it's a good night's sleep. We don't need air conditioning. Dogs are welcome, €15 per stay. There is a wood-burning stove for the winter. We provide a wheelbarrow with firewood for €15.

Escape to our mobile home with tropical accents, under palm and coconut trees. Located on a 3000 m² private plot, this small haven of peace is surrounded by fruit trees offering magnificent views of the mountains and vineyards, lulled by the gentle clucking of chickens. 5 min walk to the village (bakery, pharmacy, grocery, bar/restaurant, park) and 5 min drive to a lake and the port of the Canal du Midi. Carcassonne and Narbonne are 30 minutes away, Minerva 15 minutes away.

Ideal for four people, you will be in a quiet area. Walks in the typical alleys of Caunes, the visit to the Gouffre de Cabrespine, the Cathar castles, the city of Carcassonne or simple hikes in the mountains, as well as Minervois wine tastings await you a stone's throw from here.
