The lower level private entrance apartment was very nice with all new furnishings, comfortable bed and sofa, smart TV, plenty of books and games. The kitchen was well appointed with high end small appliances ( microwave oven, toaster oven, single pan cooktop, Ninja coffee maker and an under the counter with complimentary goodies ( sweet muffins English Muffins, butter, cream cheese, Starbucks ground coffee and orange juice) and some small bag snacks (popcorn and chips). The bathroom was very nice with plenty of towels and complimentary shampoo and conditioner. Judy was a very gracious and friendly host with quick responses to any questions or sought after recommendations. She gave us 4 wineries to try and we loved all 4 of them. You can’t go wrong with this Airbnb.

Very peaceful setting – beautiful area of northern Virginia horse country. The carriage house was very clean and cozy, nice linens and towels. We had great communication with Anne and are just sorry We didn’t have the chance to meet her due to a last-minute schedule issue for us.

The sunroom view far exceeded our expectations. Everyday was new nature experience. A herd of deer on a couple of afternoons. Turkey and fox sightings on other days. Since our booking was months in advance, the unforeseen temperature conditions were harsh. One evening, the temperatures dropped down to 5° F. This disturbed one of the guests until I explained that the conditions fell below the system's designed parameters (we are engineer geeks). Once we started up the fireplace, the home temperature began to stabilize. Two nights we decided to have home cooked meals. We were very impressed with all the cooking supplies available and dishware. The stovetop center skillet was perfect for steak night. The bedrooms were very cozy & each guest felt like they were each in their own private quarters. The down comforters came in handy each night. The restrooms were clean & provided with multiple amenities. Overall, the homeowners really go above and beyond to provide a comfortable environment.

Kathryn’s place was ideal spot for our quick weekend trip for a wedding in Bluemont. She is so friendly and responsive if you need it. Few different animals on property, her German shepherds were beautiful. Kathryn’s attention to detail was unlike any other Airbnb I’ve been in. Very clean with so many special details like fresh farm eggs, plenty of coffee, bathroom essentials, fresh tulips and lilac, I could go on and on. Her property and the surrounding area is so beautiful and peaceful. I would definitely recommend her place for anyone looking for a spot in the area.
