The interior decor beautifully harmonises the contemporary and traditional, and maximises the historical detail throughout. This apartment is a comfortable, functional, yet truly luxurious place to stay. The Lomond is situated on the first floor. You will be welcomed by a traditional Scottish 'Close' gaining access to the front door from two flights of stairs, around 20 in total. The apartment has been refurbished with the traveller in mind, but also being careful to retain some of the original Victorian features. The apartment has a brand new kitchen, including oven, hob, microwave, coffee machine, fridge, and breakfast bar. There is also a dining table in the bay window for four people to enjoy a home cooked meal. If cooking at home isn't your thing, there are several restaurants within 100 metres for you to enjoy stunning Scottish food, or just a drink. Garvies restaurant is 15 metres from the apartment front door and currently offer any guests at West Highland Apartment 20% off their food bill. The apartment has two double bedrooms offering a pair of single beds in each (as a special request either bedroom can be made into doubles). The larger master bedroom has European size single beds for the taller person and comes with an en suite bathroom. Bedroom two has two standard single beds and use of the main bathroom. Both bedrooms have mirrored wardrobe space and a vanity unit including a hair dryer. The main living room of the property offers a large 3 seat leather sofa and two leather chairs for the weary (or not so weary) traveller to relax. My homely apartment is nestled in the West end,on a quiet street lined with Oak trees,in the heart of ever vibrant Hillhead.Perfectly positioned to explore the quirky thrift shops, hip cafes and bars of the West End and moments on the subway from the excitement of the shops and clubs of the City Centre.
The building itself is a part of Glasgow’s history,completed in 1845 and designed by one of Glasgow’s most celebrated architects, Alexander’Greek’Thompson and is part of Glasgow’s Heritage Trail.

Beautiful traditional tenement flat in Shawlands, the buzzing south-side of Glasgow. Queens Park, trendy bars, restaurants, and supermarkets are on your doorstep. Glasgow city centre is easily accessible within 10 minutes by train or slightly longer by bus. The flat has very spacious rooms with original features, newly fitted bathroom and has all very homely feel.
