Holiday rentals with lake access in Puntarenas Province

Such a beautiful location and the PERFECT villa for my family and I. The property is exactly as per the photos. It is maintained daily by Vincete (awesome guy and super friendly/really helpful). The house was cleaned daily at no extra cost. We had such a wonderful time staying here with 2 young kids, grandma and brother’s family. The view from the kitchen and outdoor area/pool is beautiful and never gets old. Would love to come back again!

Our stay at Elisabeth and Michael's home was fantastic! We felt as though we had stepped back in time to the early 1900's. They have done an amazing job restoring the place while retaining the original character. Their home is truly a work of art. While there are a few modern conveniences one might find missing, we had everything we needed, were very comfortable and felt completely at home. Michael's breakfast was wonderful and he was always ready to help in every way possible. Our conversations with our hosts were captivating and one of the hi lights of our time in Costa Rica! It is quite apparent that Elisabeth and Michael love Puntarenas and Costa Rica. That affection is quite contagious and we found ourselves more in love with their country having visited with them in their home for a few days and would definitely stay with them again.

We had a fantastic stay at this Airbnb. The house is larger than the pictures make it out to be, and their host and concierge services were the best I’ve experienced. Air conditioning in every room, and plenty of space. Location is about a 15-20 min walk to the “start” of the beach, but recommend renting a golf cart as the road is busy and you’re uphill on the way back. One thing to be aware of is there isn’t much shade in the back by the pool during the heat of the day. Only one sun umbrella was available and handful of lounge chairs. We also found the kitchenware, particularly the knives, to be quite worn out, so consider bringing some of your own if you plan on making meals. Excellent stay, great value.

I honestly have this on my top of spots in CR when I really need to relax and chill. Although, location is far away from the GAM is totally worthy to go there and disconnect! You will be surrounded by nature, 10 min away from where you can find all you need. Also, Ideal if you are planning to visit Corcovado. The place is amazing! Only consideration is that there is not laundry at the house but you can do it in town. Carlos and Marcela are super hosts! They care about you, and you can feel it! They will help you with anything you need, from basic things at the house up to book tours and suggestions of things to do!

We stayed here for one week during our two week honeymoon. Drake bay appealed to us because of Corcovado and unspoiled natural surroundings of the Drake Bay Area. The Airbnb is in a fantastic location, situated just outside of Drake Bay. It felt very private, right on the beach. The property is beautiful, we loved being visited by scarlet macaws and white face monkeys. Our host, Alexis, was absolutely phenomenal. She helped with all our tour bookings, local recommendations and checking in each day to see if we needed anything. Alexis went above and beyond, and was the best host we’ve ever encountered. I would highly recommend staying at La Joyita, it’s a little piece of paradise that we will remember forever.

Belle villa, nous avons passé 5 jours pour connaître le quartier de Pinilla. Superbe endroit pour se reposer, belles plage très tranquille. Nous y retournerons un jour… Merci Maria

Un lugar realmente bonito y acogedor.

This place is a hidden gem. It is only a couple minutes walk from to the beach and It has security guards at the entrance to the parking area. The living quarters are exactly as described. This is the perfect location for one or two people to visit on a budget and stay in a very expensive area for a very reasonable price. Also. the added bonus of access to a very nice pool was much appreciated.

Een schitterende ruimte met uitzicht rondom. Als je van uitzicht houdt, zit je hier echt goed. We konden verschillende soorten weer van de hele regio in 1 oogopslag zien. Heel bijzonder. De accommodatie zelf is fraai en luxe ingericht met ruime keuken en goede apparatuur, ook in de zithoek. De host is superaardig en vindt het oprecht leuk om je een beetje te leren kennen en een praatje te maken. We voelden ons erg thuis

What a great location and atmosphere and the Studio and garden is perfect with all necesities for a true beachfront vacation .. Definitely one of our best stays in Costa Rica. Sonny and Rita are the nicest most welcoming people! We will be back again as their Airbnb is a mew destination for us!!

Es una zona muy sana , se desplaza con facilidad a donde quiera ir y todo está al alcance, restaurante y comercios en general

I stayed at Manu’s jungle loft for 3 weeks and had a wonderful time. The space is comfortable and rustic, with wonderful views and a very comfortable bed. The beaches nearby are some of the best in the world, and it’s very easy to walk to nearby restaurants or grab a TukTuk any time. Manu and Lucas were kind and gracious hosts. I hope to stay again!

tiene todo lo necesario para pasar una buena estadía

Un lugar bonito, céntrico y tranquilo, cerca de muchas playas y mucha naturaleza alrededor. Necesitan mejorar un poco el higiene en el área de los utensilios de la cocina y mejorar en su varias cositas para que el lugar sea más seguro, pero en sí, está bien. Tampoco había televisión a pesar de que queríamos un lugar con TV… :(

A pesar de que está un poquito alejado de la playa tiene una ubicación conveniente, a minutos de restaurantes, gimnasios y supermercados. Lugar limpio, la cocina amplia y conveniente. Lugar tranquilo para descansar y relajarse. No hay aire acondicionado pero tiene ventilador y la casa buena ventilación natural. El precio muy cómodo y la anfitriona súper amable y agradable! Lo recomiendo

Únicamente deberían indicar el tema del puente de al ingreso de la casa por lo demás excelente

Good value, nice well maintained clean house with an electric gate, perimeter fence and multiple security cameras. Nice sheltered outdoor areas for sitting and dining on a rainy day. There is a river and mountain with tropical forest rising up behind the house. Old style electric shower head. It can be quite hot if you keep the flow of water low. Nice screened windows for good cross ventilation. Quite cool at night so no need for AC. Spent one morning at Blue Falls which was truly amazing. The kitchen had all the necessary utensils, air fryer, microwave and outdoor grill. Ran out of propane for the stove but Daniela sent over a full tank within an hour.

Casa Oropendola is magical – a happy place to be happy in! Everything needed to feel comfortable and at home is right there. It is spotless, spacious and well-equipped. The (fully equipped) kitchen, with panoramic windows looking out onto a landscape of utter beauty, is amazing. Gilbert has created a garden of stunning beauty whose heliconia are constantly visited by hummingbirds. Bird lovers – you will be in paradise here! I downloaded the Merlin app for my stay here and was amazed at the species it picked up. Note reliable wifi for work meetings. Safe - could have left the door unlocked at night - not exaggerating. Potable Spring water from the kitchen tap. Gilbert is the kindest and most generous of hosts. He told me about great places to go and helped me a lot. He goes far above and beyond what I expect, doing everything in his power to make the stay as enjoyable and comfortable as possible. He is just a sincere and kind personality. Laguna Hule is breathtaking. Great hikes!

Sabrina & Edu couldn’t have been better hosts! Their “end of the world” paradise is quiet & peaceful. Their home cooked meals were delicious & plentiful. The bungalows had thick netting so we could feel the cool night air as we slept. It was fabulous to wake up to all of the birdsongs every morning, They made a special effort to show us birds & animals. We really enjoyed the use of their boat to explore the River where their diverse ecosystem shines in the jungle. We also liked taking the boat on the lagoon to the beach. If you want a quiet and peaceful getaway, this is the place. However, Sabrina is happy to help you with any tours (and there are quite a few to choose from). We will always treasure our time here. :)

This was our family’s 5th trip to Pavones . We like to try different places and locations . Giselle’s home was beautiful , spacious and very comfortable. We had a smaller group and it didn’t feel overwhelming as it’s a big place . Outdoor spaces were amazing , and a quick walk to essentially a private beach . (Only saw 1 person over 8 days ) a short walk to La Pina restaurant for a pizza or dinner and only 3-5 minutes from various spots near Pavones point. I will say this was perhaps the most well equipped kitchen and linens we have experienced yet . Oliver the caretaker was quite helpful and his English is fair . Overall a very positive experience. Se puede disfrutar de excelentes vistas, la es casa grande, cómoda y con áreas internas simplemente acogedoras. Las zonas verdes estaban muy cuidadas y limpias. La casa es de fácil acceso y a 15 minutos del Poás. Laura fue super atenta y rápida en responder.
