Holiday rentals with a fire pit in Rappahannock River

We were here for a work trip in West Point, VA. We were originally planning on staying in West Point, but the properties were way out of budget. Anthony’s place was perfect. It was a short drive to the job site and town. It was within budget. He was super responsive and his place was exactly what we needed!!

Tyler's place was perfect for our stay with our extended family. It's spacious and comfortable, with plenty of room to relax indoors and out. It has a very nice large porch and deck, great for some solitude or for kids to play. The beds were comfy and the linens ample, there are gorgeous large bathrooms and luxurious showers, the kitchen was well-stocked and included an amazing high-end stove, and the living spaces are nicely decorated and furnished with art and tons of books. One bedroom had lots of toys and kids' books, a very nice touch. Tyler was helpful, accommodating, and responsive. The location is very convenient to Arlington National Cemetery and within walking distance to a Metro stop. Everything about this rental was fantastic--we highly recommend it if you need a lovely space for a large group. Thanks, Tyler!

The name says it all! My week at Sandi’s place felt like a slice of heaven. Beautiful lot, peaceful, quiet, but also just a quick drive to anything you need or would want to see! Immaculately cleaned. Stocked with everything you need! I cooked nearly every meal and all the basics were there, which was great after long days on a job site. That covered porch is THE BOMB! Comfy, clean beds, too. Great wifi! Sandi is extremely response, so friendly, and any instructions were crystal clear! She put her heart and soul into this home & it shows! My dogs loved the little walking trail behind the house & napping on the porch! 110% will be back! Thank you Sandi!!

This house is perfect for large groups. It is very spacious, with plenty of room to spread out and get comfortable. We enjoyed sitting on the dock taking in the serene natural beauty of the Creek and observing the local birdlife, including Kingfishers, Great Blue Herons, and Bald Eagles. The house is situated very near to the entrance of Lookout Point State Park which we greatly enjoyed exploring on bicycles. Seeing a large wedge of Tundra Swans fly overhead was a special moment. If you want to spend some time relaxing in a beautiful setting in a beautiful and very interesting area with a large group, this house will serve you well.

My family and I really enjoyed our stay it was very comfortable and clean. I appreciated the parking was very spacious. The area was so beautiful and so close to everything we wanted to do like Wood Grill in Charlottesville, luray caverns, and Fellowship Baptist church in Madison. Such a great time and experience and a great getaway from Southern California.

We loved our stay and would recommend it to anyone. 6 of us were very comfortable in the space and the basement is better than we expected. Exceptionally clean and the beds were very comfy.

Great stay and beautiful home with tons of room. We only had 4 of us and probably should've brought friends to bring the price down. Really appreciated the cornhole boards and kayaks so we could get out on the water. Never saw a single fish though. Either wrong time of year or we are horrible at fishing. Regardless I'd come back.

Really nice and comfortable house at an amazing and peaceful location. Super pet friendly. Very relaxing and the views and patio were wonderful. Would definitely visit again!

Great find. close to everything. Even tho my work trip got cut short this was a good place to stay while in the area.

The space was beautiful, modern charm, clean, and accommodating. Everything inside the house was easy to find and had everything we needed for a quick DC trip with our 4 kids (including a pizza cutter!). The host even helped us with parking, while we took the metro into DC. Closest station was less than 1 block away. Would absolutely stay again!

Irene is very responsive and helpful. We spend a great weekend with family and friends! We did kayaking and fishing. Irene provided great advice to us about how to find the best fishing spot. The house is clean and beautiful. The nice patio also includes a gas grill for who wants to BBQ. THIS PLACE IS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED for who want play around water! Definitely will come back.

Jennifer’s place was amazing! A fully private guest house with tons of space and well stocked. Beautiful location and we were excited to use the hot tub. Would definitely stay again when visiting Shenandoah.

Hudson’s place was perfect for our DC Trip- I would easily recommend it to anyone looking for a place to stay. Super convenient to everything, great walkable food places nearby, and Hudson was super responsive with our questions. We hopefully will be back soon and hope to stay with Hudson again!

Absolutely amazing! The place had so much to do whether it was outside or in! Swimming in the pool, hot tub, kayaking and/or paddle boarding on the lake, giant yard games. Inside had a pool table, wide variety of board games, and many streaming services. Brenda was extremely friendly and helpful in many way. She had a binder full of local places for food and things to do! She truly showed us the best of Maryland.

The apartment is so beautifully decorated and very spacious, and we loved being able to walk to different restaurants and shops nearby. Bryson communicated quickly and was very helpful, we highly recommend staying here!

Great spot for a comfortable stay in the DC area. We stayed with our infant to visit friends and family and really enjoyed this spot and would love to return.

ALMOST HEAVEN. I’d give this place six stars if I could. One of our favorite Airbnbs of all time. Absolutely gorgeous cabin in the woods and with plenty of family friendly activities within easy driving distance. Canoeing down the river (a literal five minute drive from the cabin) was probably the highlight of our trip and highly recommended. We had such an amazing time and enjoyed the peace and quiet of nature. Worth every penny! The kitchen was a little bit sparsely equipped, but everything worked.

Our family had the best time here! Loved the yurt! There is a creek across the street that the children played in, we fished in the pond, played baseball in the meadow, had a campfire under the stars. The beds were super comfortable, we enjoyed the privacy and the beauty of the area. We hope to go back and stay longer next time! Well appointed kitchen, super clean home, responsive host, beautiful views through the many windows, private stay yet close to activities. It’s a gem, for sure!

We loved our stay at Kayla’s place, and will definitely be coming back! The house is modern, clean and warm. We enjoyed the space as well as the hot tub outside. From the first touch point, Kayla was incredibly warm, friendly and accommodating. As a couple coming in from the DC area, the location in Front Royal is conveniently only a 1.5 hr drive, with beautiful surroundings. And if you’re coming from that area, you can stop at the Kunafa Truck about half-way through in Vienna for a delicious sweet treat!

An amazing, special place to get away from everything. The lack of cell service and no WiFi were the highlight for our family. We spent a week playing board games, reading, painting, enjoying a fire every night, and just talking. The hosts thought of everything and we feel very lucky to have spent the week here. Will definitely be back!

We had an amazing stay at the cabin! The cabin was clean and beautifully decorated. We had everything we needed in the kitchen. Checking in and out was very easy. The nearby waterfall is such a cool addition! As others have noted, the driveway to get to the cabin is bumpy. We had to drive slowly and carefully in our small car.

This was a perfect place to stay, and it’s short drive from Old Rag Mountain was just want we were hoping for! The firepit area around the back of the cabin offered such a private and peaceful evening!

Incredible property. Feels like going to camp in the best ways possible. Loads of room to spread out and great features. Boats were a lot of fun to take out.

Our family had a blast here. It had the perfect cabin vibe while feeling contemporary and updated in all the right ways. Our kids enjoyed running around the property with the most beautiful spring weather. A fire in the fire pit was a highlight for all. I really appreciated the whimsical touch of the string lights in the yard and on the porch. It felt magical! The location was perfect for us due to its proximity to the wedding we were attending. We were pleasantly surprised by the gem of Yoder’s Country Market only 5 minutes away. One stop shop for a deli lunch, play area for the kids and a fun petting zoo where you could feed chickens and llamas! Host Amy was friendly and responsive in all communication. If you’re looking for a place to stay in this area, I can’t imagine anything better.
