Casa de família num monte Alentejano. Espaço rural com ambiente muito familiar. A simplicidade e humildade são a ordem do dia.
“We had a lovely stay here for 2 nights. Wish it was longer. The location is great. About 30 minutes to a variety of different breathtaking beaches and cute little towns. It was hard to find initially, but in a town of about 30 you’re bound to find it soon!! Be aware no one in this village speaks English. We had a great meal at a diner about 2 km away. Again no English, and a meat based menu but when we asked “vegetarian?” the cook whipped us up an amazing pasta!!”
The house is modern and attractively furnished with many artistic features. The hillside provides views and cooling breezes for the sunny or shady terraces and pool area. However it is situated in an authentic rural setting over looking a small Portuguese village. The local cafe is good, the local walks, through woods and fields are peaceful and full of unspoilt nature. There are interesting towns and the magnificent Vicentina Coast, World Heritage Site within a short drive.
“When you find something so good you want to keep it a secret. This is one of those places. A beautiful home in a great location. The design and layout of the property is superb and it's location in this bucolic Portuguese village is awesome. If you like architecture, exploring and surf this is the place for you. We cannot recommend it highly enough.”
In the middle of a countryside full with olive and cork trees, 2,8 km from the asphalt road, Figueirinha Ecoturismo is almost self-sufficient energy wise thanks to its solar panels. The biological swimming pool has 23 different species of plants. Frogs and other animals from the local fauna inhabit the waters, along with the owners and guests. The garden is an haven, especially in July and August, the hottest months. At Figueirinha Ecoturismo guests are treated as friends, so welcome!
“Very nice welcome from Paula and Alexandre who made us visit their domain. Lost at the end of a 2/3 km dirt road, we are far from the turmoil of August in Portugal. The nova casa connects two rooms that can be made independent or communicating. Nice breakfast with the other people staying in the tents and other rooms of the estate. Too bad our hosts are no longer table d'hôte, it would add to the charm of the place. Small community kitchen to troubleshoot or restaurants to 20 minutes for the brave. Very beautiful beaches at 40km.”
